A brief overview of issues that occurred after installing the KB5030219 update.

Update KB5030219 for Windows 11 22H2, which Microsoft released on September 12 as part of its monthly patch cycle, proved to be a disaster for many users and experts alike. This update resulted in a host of issues and bugs, such as the blue screen of death (BSoD), app freezes, reduced performance and stability, audio issues, missing tabs in File Explorer, and crashes when trying to open the Start menu..

Some users reported that after installing KB5030219, they could not boot the system or only saw the welcome or lock screen. Others complained that they lost access to network services or deleted hardware drivers, such as the Nvidia video driver.

Gaming PC users also experienced severe performance degradation in games, especially Starfield, or their complete failure to work due to an application timeout error over TDR.

Most of the issues were resolved by removing the KB5030219 update. Experts from TechRadar noted that such a large number of critical problems after one update indicates serious problems in the testing process on the part of Microsoft. Despite this, Microsoft does not confirm any problems with the KB5030219 update and continues to offer it for installation.
