FIRST OF ALL FIND THE NUMBER OF ACCOUNTS AND THE ROUTING NUMBER:
To do this, go to "statements & documents"
If you see the following
Then the on-line statements are not enabled, but we can request a copy by clicking on "Request Statement Copies"
and choose the account, the statement of which you need
Choose the statements which you want to see; you need only one
and the type of delivery; you need the “ONLINE” one
And so you see the statement
If you see the following, simply open the last statement
if you see the PMA account, you will not find the routing number in the statement
but you can find the account numbers for almost every account (see 2 following screenshots)
you will find the routing in the statement for another account (if there are some of them in the account) or in the check scan
in other type of statements the routing number can always be found
very often you can find combined statements (checking account + saving account); in this case you can find the numbers of 2 accounts having the same routing
SEARCH FOR A SCANS OF CHECK
To do this, go to "Account activity"
do the sorting on CHECK for last 18 months
you will see the check scan, if you click on View
Request Copy means that the check was sent too long ago, and only in rare occasions I managed to find the scan of check under the "Request Copy" button
To get oriented on the check scan remember, that the routing number is always to the left of the account number, and the routing is always 9-figures long
to the right of "00689" is the check number, but very often is stays in the beginning
so now you have
routing number: 121042882
checking number: 3725005346
saving number: 9686326803
VERIFY THE PAYPAL WITH THE AVAILABLE DATA
register the account on paypal.com or open the account that already exist and add a new bank account
Insert the information available
If you add the bank account right after the registration, you will be asked to enter the name of the bank. In this case enter "Wells Fargo Bank".
You are offered to choose between instant verification and waiting for mini-deposits in the bank account
Choose instant verification. Enter login, password of bank account and then repeat the password.
Sometimes at this stage the thing that you can see on the screenshot below happens. The reason is that the page has been reloaded before the instant verification, or due to the wrong routing or account number. In rare occasions the reason is unknown.
If everything goes well, your PayPal account will get a status "verified"
Otherwise wait for mini-deposits, which usually come the following day
Mini-deposits come to "account activity"
write them down and close the bank account
here insert the mini-deposits, which came to your bank account
That's all. Now your account is verified. The purpose is achieved. Set other goals and go towards them, but that's another article...
