Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Mordovia, together with operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Ruzaevsky District, as a result of a set of operational-search measures, stopped the activities of a group of migrants, whose members tried to issue bank cards using forged documents for subsequent cashing and transit of funds.

Three natives of the Kyrgyz Republic aged 19 to 24 years were detained by the police in one of the banks in the city of Ruzaevka. During their personal search, as well as in the cabin of the vehicle in which the young people were moving, law enforcement officers found and seized about 80 fake migration and identification cards of Kyrgyz citizens.

It was preliminarily established that the defendants acted as part of an organized group, which included natives of the states of Central Asia. During personal meetings with its participants, as well as by extracting from caches in the capital region, the attackers acquired fake documents with their photos, but fictitious personal data.

Later, at the direction of the curators, they arrived in Mordovia in a rented car in order to issue debit bank cards. For a monetary reward, the detainees planned to transfer the means of payment to accomplices for further use for criminal purposes. However, the police prevented them from bringing the criminal plan to the end.

For the use of forged documents, as well as an attempt at illegal circulation of means of payment, criminal cases were initiated against the suspects on the grounds of crimes under Part 3 of Article 327 and Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendants were chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention.

Law enforcement officers are conducting further operational-search measures aimed at establishing additional episodes of illegal activities of foreigners and detaining accomplices in crimes.
