The court recovered 154 thousand rubles from a resident of Kemerovo, who provided fraudsters with their data for registration of a fictitious account, the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Volgograd region reported.
The prosecutor's office conducted a check on the appeal of a 77-year-old resident of Volgograd, who reported the theft of money from a bank card.
According to the agency, on May 15 last year, the phone of an elderly woman received a call allegedly from a bank employee.
"Under the pretext of stopping fraudulent actions, he offered to transfer savings to a "safe" account. A gullible pensioner transferred 140 thousand rubles to the specified account, after which it turned out that she was the victim of fraud.
The investigation established that the victim's money was transferred to the bank account of a 22-year - old resident of Kemerovo, who provided his personal data for a fee to fraudsters who issued an account for crediting stolen funds," the prosecutor's office said.
Zavodskoy District Court of Kemerovo considered the claim of the department for recovery from the account holder of unjust enrichment, interest for using other people's money and compensation for moral damage.
By a court decision in favor of the pensioner, 154 thousand rubles were collected from the dropper.
