Aeroflot and Pobeda airline passengers faced registration problems.

The Leonardo flight booking system has experienced a large-scale DDoS attack from abroad, Rostec representatives said in their Telegram channel.

Earlier, Aeroflot and Pobeda airlines warned their passengers about possible problems with check-in for flights due to a malfunction in the booking system:

"Due to a global failure in the Leonardo booking system (Sirena-Travel), check-in at airports in the company's route network is difficult, "Aeroflot wrote in its Telegram channel. In addition, the airline reported a delay of at least seven flights from Sheremetyevo Airport, with an average delay time of 30 minutes.

Pobeda also noted that there was a failure in the operation of booking services, online check-in and check-in at airports. Check-in at airports was temporarily carried out manually, and passengers were advised to arrive in advance.

By 12:08 Moscow time, Rostec confirmed that the Leonardo booking system was fully operational.

"Attacks on the domestic Leonardo booking system occur regularly. In recent months, there have been dozens of them, including about 5 attempts recorded in September. The attacks are large-scale and unprecedented in terms of the number of resources involved. It is obvious that a real cyber war is being waged against the country, the purpose of which is to damage the Russian IT infrastructure and disrupt the work of the most important industries," the press service of Rostec said.

The Leonardo booking system was created jointly by Rostec and its technology partner, Sirena-Travel, in order to replace foreign booking services.
