Roitman and Kalchuk are accused of illegally influencing the CII of Russia.

The Moscow Prosecutor's Office filed an appeal against the decision of the Khoroshevsky Court to choose a preventive measure for the deputy General Directors of Sirena-Travel JSC Igor Roitman and Alexander Kalchuk. Top managers of Leonardo are accused of illegally influencing the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation (Part 5 of Article 274.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

On April 5, the court refused to send Igor Roitman and Alexander Kalchuk to the pre-trial detention center, as required by the investigation. Instead, they were ordered to ban certain actions until June 4.

In particular, Roitman and Kalchuk were banned from leaving their homes from 18:00 to 8:00, communicating with witnesses in the case, and visiting the office of Sirena-Travel until June 4, 2024. They can only use the means of communication, including the Internet, to communicate with defense lawyers and investigators, as well as to call operational services.

Earlier, the investigation demanded to take the accused into custody, but the court chose a milder measure of restraint. Igor Roitman and Alexander Kalchuk were released from the courtroom.

In early April, the office of Sirena-Travel on Leningradsky Prospekt was searched with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and Rosgvardiya. According to people familiar with the situation, the actions of law enforcement officers were related to hacker attacks on the IT infrastructure of the Russian ticket booking system, which Sirena-Travel encountered last fall. The company applied to law enforcement agencies in connection with incidents in the field of information security and provides full access to documents and data for investigation. As part of the investigation of the incident, specialists studied the company's equipment to identify possible vulnerabilities in the systems, and also carried out the seizure of documentation. After that, Roitman and Kalchuk were detained.

In September 2023, the Leonardo booking system developed by Sirena-Travel was subjected to a massive hacker attack. Due to software failures, passengers of Aeroflot, Rossiya, Azur Air, Pobeda, and Ural Airlines experienced problems with registration. Rostec explained the failure as a massive DDOS attack from abroad.
