• Today we'll talk about how the world is changing. Is it really changing, don't you notice? It's all about neural networks. They are getting better and smarter, and are also becoming part of our daily routine. They summarize reviews, answer our requests, draw us pictures, and do a bunch of other useful things. Now I'll tell you why they can be used in #OSINT, and in life.

• First. And the most obvious. Neural networks will replace traditional search engines in the next five years. Yes, the search bar will sink into oblivion. And instead of it, there will be a helpful chatbot that will be happy to answer our questions and give us links. But not all questions. Only politically correct ones. And the links will have to be moderated before they fall into our tenacious paws. We are on the threshold of a digital concentration camp, that's it.

• Second. Text generation. Here you will find reports, new ideas, and even malicious comments for information wars. In general, everything that your imagination and the right prompts can produce.

• Third. Photo generation. This is a direct path to cool fakes. Look for the Pope in a white jacket. Yes, this is a fake, after which Midjorney's wings were cut and they are no longer allowed to generate real people.

• Fourth. This is a great source of knowledge. If you don't know what a factoid is, a survivorship bias, or how to take a logarithm, the chat will gladly explain it to you. And even show you. It's perfect for learning.

• Fifth. Neural networks are suitable for GEOINT. Upload a photo there and ask it to find a place. And what's typical, it often finds it. Or at least give a hint where to look. And it works!

• Sixth. Data analysis. Upload a dataset and ask it to find patterns or make other calculations. Yes, it works too. Not as well as you'd like, but nevertheless.

• Seventh. A neural network can code no worse than a junior. And in different languages. For example, a neural network wrote an indicator for trading in MQL5 for me. And I'll tell you, it's far from the most popular language. So even a non-programmer can now make their own software. That's it.

• You know, I'm a big supporter of using neural networks in my work. I've said it many times and I'll say it even more times: neural networks are the future. And if you want to have a piece of bread and butter or something even tastier in this future, you need to study neural networks now. Literally.

• I use the classic ChatGPT 4o myself. But not everyone pays attention to two important things. If you open the menu, there will be a "GPT Overview" button. Previously, these were plugins - special models that specialize in collecting information from certain sources. Now they have been legitimized into a separate microservice. Now this detention center holds models that can do things that vanilla chat can't. For example, parse transcripts of the US Congress, collect data from courts and other sources. And anyone can make such a special chat. That's why there are a legion of these special chats there. For data analysis, for programming and for bloggers. In general, for any task.

• The second point. This is an application. Most people use the chat on the site. But for Apple and Android, there has long been an application with which you can talk. Literally set a task for it by voice and get a result. This is really cool. A voice assistant, as it should be. And I think it will be, over time.

• And one more small remark. I predicted earlier that the chat bot would merge with search engines. ChatGPT Search was released on October 31, 24. Now there is a globe icon in the chat window. Click on it and the chat will start working in search engine mode. As for me, jokes about a digital concentration camp stop being funny and start being a little scary.

• And finally, for those who can't stand this OpenAI shop, there is an amazing open source service. It's called HuggingFace. It's like Greece, there's everything and even a little more. Enthusiasts from all over the world post their neural networks there, which you can download and run for free either locally on your machine (if the power allows) or on your server on Azure or Amazon. Or wherever you like best. You can also try the model right there, without leaving the checkout. Yes, yes, HuggingFace has such an opportunity. And there are just a bunch of different neural networks for a variety of tasks. There are even timid attempts to make a neural network for OSINT. I highly recommend this resource!

• So, here you go, friends and colleagues. To paraphrase Mr. Krugly: "Choose a neural network that suits you, so you don't fall when walking!" And you will be happy.

• Naturally, such a flexible thing as a neural network can be used in a million different ways. So go for it. The sooner you start working with them, the more prosperous your future will be. Good luck to everyone!
