Telegram is not as anonymous as you think. We all know that Telegram is considered an anonymous chat and most people use it for security, so that no one can spy on them. But this is not true at all. Telegram has a lot of vulnerabilities, let me name them, which are deliberately, of course, left so that if something happens, people can spy on your chat. Especially Telegram, if they needed to sell data to someone, they could do it. Now let's see together why Telegram is not anonymous and how you can protect yourself from all this.

First. There are regular chats. Regular chats are, of course, encrypted with keys. This is done correctly. This is done for your security, because if they were not encrypted, anyone who could interrupt your traffic would read everything you write freely. This is dangerous. But the thing is that Telegram encrypts and decrypts chats on Telegram servers. What does it mean that Telegram has all the keys that can decrypt and encrypt your chats?

This is very bad for you, think about it, because any time Telegram wants to open and read your chats, they can do it. And now you can also ask, well, who needs me, no one would, well, they hacked, hacked, nothing, read my chats. It's not that someone can read how you write to your loved one and what you say, that's not the point. The point is that this is data, this is your data that can be sold. If you don't care so much about your date, the same should be in the real world. If you

don't care about your safety, why are you closing the door, right? I know, now someone in the comments will say, my door is always open. It's just an analogy. Let's understand what I mean. This is bad, normal chats are not safe. Of course, there are secret chats that make it all much better. This is the only, one might say, real method to have proper end-to-end encryption and security. But the algorithm that secret chats use is not standard for all encryption, so this is also bad.

They do not follow the correct standards. The next thing to remember is that secret chats are simply very few people know about them. If everyone knew, only used a secret chat, it would be a different matter. So if you want to communicate and have maximum privacy, and Telegram is your only solution, then I strongly recommend that you at least try to use secret chats. Metadata is silent witnesses about you. Who you are, what you do, what computer you use, what IP address you use to log in.

Metadata, IP address - all this leaks information about you. For example, try it yourself, by the way. If you have Telegram, for example, just now on your phone, open a web browser on your computer or another phone, wherever you want, iPad, tablet, that's not the point. Log in to the same account, you will receive a code, and it will say that you should not give this code to anyone, but at the top it says all the metadata about this device, for example, let it be a MacBook, Safari browser, Chrome browser, some specific IP address, country, everything else.

This is data, it turns out, if you log in, if Tigram shows you that they use all this and store it in a chat specifically with you, of course, they also store it. And all the metadata can give a lot of information about you, if, of course, they store it, this is all anonymity. There will be no anonymity here if they store all your metadata. This is all blatant, so this is another example for you that you can see for yourself in practice why it is so bad.

Your phone number can completely give people information about you. Through your phone number, they can understand and find out who you are, your name, your last name, your country of birth, where you are, where you are registered, what Internet you use, everything about you can be known only through your phone number, especially to governments and people who have this power. I am not saying that an ordinary person can now take a phone number and find out everything about you. But since you give Telegram your phone number, this should obviously tell you that you are losing all your anonymity, so remember, if you use a phone number for some messenger, anonymity is already gone.

Now let's look at Telegram and how it transfers user data to authorities. For example, look at this example, an article by Spiegel Telegram transfers user data to authorities in Germany. Telegram advertises itself, claiming that it does not cooperate with the authorities, but at the same time there are facts of transferring evidence of suspected data to these messengers in terrorism cases and other things that I hate and will not talk about.

But, let's think about the following, and Telegram, of course, advertises and they say that yes, we do not transfer data to anyone, we do not sell anything. But think for yourself, there is a lot of evidence. This is not the only thing I will show you. Here is another example of an article. Telegram agreed to transfer user data to the special services. Again, all implied terrorism.

Good. And what about the next? Here Telegram in India was obliged to disclose information about users and channels. This is all very bad, because I understand if you justify and talk, but this is about terrorism. Of course, it is necessary to transfer this data. I understand, yes, if there are such serious problems, then transferring data, perhaps in some sense, is the case, but why lie that you never cooperate with them, that’s the first thing.

Secondly, it is obvious that this can also be used as a simple method to get all the data, read all the chats, but to say that here is terrorism and something happened, but here is the reason so that we can read everything and sell all your data. Think about it, this is very bad, it greatly affects your anonymity if something happens. Yes, one good thing will happen, but this is just an excuse for them to sell all your data. So please do not believe that everything is anonymous, this is wrong.

Let's look at the following. Anonymous phone numbers. Previously, this was a very popular method, here I am showing a fragment on the screen. The fragment was used to buy numbers for, for example, plus 888. You can see the absurdity of the price, 14 thousand 7000, 4000, 2000, still very expensive. Now what is the problem here? The fragment worked fine, yes, but there are two problems if you decide to use it.

First, if you use fragments, you have such a cool number, it says anonymous number in Telegram, cool, it's very good, but what's the problem if you're still going to use your phone, you're not going to use any proxy, nor Tor browser, nothing, you're still transmitting your metadata, what's the point of a phone number. So that someone doesn't see your phone number, you can just go and show that you can't show my phone number in a Telegram chat and that's it.

It's good to have if you have a fragment and, for example, you bought it before 24, super, it's useful, I'm not saying anything, but still remember that metadata says a lot about you, so please be careful, that's the first thing. The second problem with a fragment. Since 24, they've been requiring you to give your ID passport and specifically there, not just show some photo or verbally, no. Photos, selfies, you need to give everything to these people.

This is a big problem. It turns out that in order to have an anonymous phone number, you give all your anonymity to the fragment, all your personal data. What's the point here? So you shouldn't trust such sites. If you're already using a fragment, fine, but remember and understand what you're signing up for before you start using it. There are, of course, good alternatives. I'll show you two. The first one, JetJams, that's it.

They're also pretty expensive here. Here's an example, you see 907 tones, if you translate that into rubles, it's 78 thousand rubles. Yes, that's a lot again, but not all of them are that expensive. And it's much better because the anonymity isn't as bad here as it is in a fragment. If you buy something with plus 888, at least I would recommend this. Especially because, as far as I understand, the numbers are also much cheaper. So use this if you want. And the good old method, which still works and will cost you much less, is using anonymous virtual phone numbers.

Here you see, here appsaver.com there are virtual numbers that you can simply buy, here are for 15 minutes, the prices are pretty cheap, everything is worth it. And they can be used to quickly log into Telegram, open a new account, do something and log out. Can be used for many different things. You do not need to spend 70 thousand rubles to get one number for 888. An old but good method, an alternative to do everything and work with it correctly.

I would definitely recommend that you also look at this, to what extent you like it or not. Next. Let's look at this article. Telegram bots and group chats. Especially bots, this is a very big abuser of your anonymity, because they can simply, when you press a button, go to the bot, you will ever try to write a bot yourself, if you learn programming or have already learned. It is very easy to do this in Telegram. Use a deadbot, they will give you an API key, and you can simply use this key to make your bot.

You can understand for yourself that a deadbot can collect a lot of information about you. And it's not just Telegram that will collect all this information about bots. Telegram will, the bot creators will. Everything you click, every action you take can be logged. I understand that some bots are very useful.

Okay, but don't use 12345678 different bots, this can greatly affect your anonymity, so please be sure to remember that bots, here we see InfoSellerLogic, how much data they sell, you will see all these links here below even in the description, you can read them yourself, I strongly recommend that you see for yourself. Now what alternatives do we have, if Telegram is so bad, I've been talking about Telegram for 10 minutes, I keep saying don't use it, no, use it, it's convenient, I don't use it myself every day, I need it for work, for friends, for family, for everything.

But a good alternative to use and have anonymity is signal, the most popular of these methods. I know that signal may be blocked in some countries. Please be careful and check the law before using this. But signal is probably the number one, most popular method for anonymity - messenger. There is also Session Technology. Foundation, we see, which is STF, you can also use, it is called Session.

It is a very convenient messenger, it is available for iOS, Android, and desktop. There is also a website, which you can check out. It even says not metadata, great. And the last method is Trima. GmbH, I apologize. It is also a pretty good messenger, also popular, not as much as signal, of course, but it is also used for privacy and anonymity.

This is an alternative for you, which is worth at least checking out, I'm not saying that all your friends and family should be urgently transferred to signal or trim, otherwise that's it, no, but for yourself, for your safety, at least some chats, especially if you have friends who understand a little bit about technology and want to try something new, I recommend Signal, Session or Trima. And that's all, thank you very much for watching, I hope you liked it.

Tell me in the comments, what do you think, is Telegram anonymous or have I convinced you that it is not very anonymous? I'm waiting for your comments.
