Plastic for digital printing on plastic cards comes in different colors and thicknesses.

For example, for the production of contactless plastic cards and business cards, plastic with a thickness of 0.15 mm is used, and for the production of club and standard discount cards - 0.30 mm.

For digital printing, the following types of plastic are distinguished:​

White plastic​

It is the most popular and economical option for the production of plastic cards. It is universal and there are no special restrictions when working with it. As for the distortion of the color palette, it is minimal.

Silver plastic​

This material boasts a sparkling structure of iridescent silver. Working with such plastic has its own subtleties and nuances: for example, white color will not work on it. All white parts of the layout will have a plastic color - silver. With different background fills you can achieve different silver shades.

Silver plastic (Super Platinum)​

This is the same silver plastic, but unlike the previous type of plastic, this one has increased sparkle, an enhanced metallic effect, which gives the finished plastic card an increased sparkling surface appearance.

Gold plastic​

Like silver plastic, gold also has a sparkling surface, on which it is also impossible to achieve a white color. Some colors may appear in different shades than on the model, this is due to the fact that the plastic initially has its own color. Therefore, before starting to produce large quantities of plastic cards from this plastic, there is a reason to first familiarize yourself with the resulting color rendition.

Plastic gold (Super Gold)​

As in the situation with silver plastic, this type of plastic also has a similar feature: it has a sparkling surface and enhanced sparkle in any light, which, you see, gives the card a rather sophisticated look.

Mother-of-pearl plastic​

It is rightfully considered the king of digital plastic, as it has a beautiful, unique surface that sparkles with a unique shine depending on the angle of the incident light. Moreover, unlike silver and gold plastic, mother-of-pearl plastic has no problems with the transmission or distortion of the original color. On the contrary, the color becomes rich and rich. Plastic cards made from mother-of-pearl plastic are beautiful and sparkling.
