A resident of the capital believed the promises of a pseudo-broker from the Internet and invested money in non-existent projects and actions for five months, thus losing more than Br45 thousand. BelTA learned this from the police department of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
A Minsk resident turned to the Moscow police department of the capital, who believed the promises of easy earnings on the Internet and lost a large sum.
In October last year, a woman received an offer in the messenger to invest in shares of foreign companies. She became interested and started transferring money to the account provided by the "broker". Later, the Minsk resident was offered to invest in another promising project: for this purpose, she even took loans from two banks.
Without suspecting anything, for five months a resident of the capital invested her own and credit money in non-existent projects, until she found a publication on the Internet about fraudulent investment schemes. Only then did the Minsk resident realize that she was a victim of scammers, and turned to the police. The total amount of damage amounted to more than Br45 thousand.
The investigator opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud.

A resident of Baranovichi lost more than Br40 thousand, trusting the advice of an unknown curator from the Internet to invest money on a fake exchange. BelTA learned this from the Internal Affairs Department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
"A resident of Baranovichi became a victim of an old fraudulent scheme of earning money on the stock exchange. Scammers talk about quick and easy profits when investing money, selling on the stock exchange and the foreign exchange market. All this, of course, is a hoax, " the police department said.
So, a 59-year-old local resident applied to the duty department of the Baranavichy city Executive Committee with a statement about misappropriation of funds. The woman explained that she was a victim of scammers.
The applicant saw an advertisement on the Internet and clicked on a link that broadcast information about the possibility of earning money on the stock exchange. The woman left her phone number for feedback. After some time, she received a message in the messenger from a man who introduced himself as a financial specialist and said that he would supervise her on registering on the platform and creating a personal account. The caller convinced the woman to install an app for remote access to the phone.
The attacker sent videos about how to make quick money on the stock exchange, and conducted online lessons with a baranovchanka. Following the recommendations of the curator, the woman took out a loan, borrowed money from friends and made personal savings, thus "investing" more than Br40 thousand. She turned to the police only after she told her daughter everything, and they jointly decided that she needed to ask for help, since the woman was repeatedly informed that it was impossible to withdraw the "earned" money.
The investigators gave a legal assessment and opened a criminal case for fraud committed on a particularly large scale.
