How to cook check method

Software: Versacheck X1 Gold 2020 - office depot/versa check site

(dont use versa paper)

Any laptop that runs windows 10 - Amazon/walmart

High security check paper - Amazon

Hp 404dn with 58A Micr toner (personal choice others can be used) - Amazon

Okay so

Account owner details - Red

Payee details - Blue

Fraction code- Yellow

Check amount - Green

Date - White -- Check number - Purple

Signature - Purple

Memo - Purple

Bank details - Purple

Check number - Purple

Account and Routing - Orange

Account owner details - Here you simply input all details you see listed on the

original check minus the phone number and email. SO JUST TO RECAP NEVER PUT THE

PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL. As for the logo's you simply go on google to pull the

company's logo. In the event you cant find the logo you can go on their website

and take a screenshot and crop out just the logo. As you can see the logo im looking

for isnt here. (sometimes you can just use a differewnt search engine)

Unless your computer is a potato you can do the same on your computer

easy

Key rule well the most important rule of all

Create what you see

the software does 90% of the work the last 10% comes from placement which we'll

go over later

Payee details - this is simply the head/person/drop details. whoever is cashing or

depositing the check details for lack of better vocabulary.

Sometimes it's placed twice on a check this is usually with business checks

you wont see it on personal checks.

Easy way to tell the difference is the account owner details at the top left

if its a business name then......you get where im going

peronal checks are also 99% of the time HAND WRITTEN

Fraction code - this is a small check security feature. if you google it youll see

they say its not required because its an old feature. but going back to the rule

CREATE WHAT YOU SEE we ignore google and put it if we see it.

If youre making a check from a bank log you wont really be able to find this unless

the log owner has written a checek out from their account before

in that case youre forced to just not put it but i just personally dont do it

without the code.

Check amount - This is 99% of the time always placed in two spots: the middle of

the check in written form and off to the right in number format

some checks neglect to put the written part but this is only business accounts

that usually do that

written checks will always have this written out

As for how much to write your check out for:

If you know the balance of the account youre writting the slip for

you then know how high you can go

thats only half the info you need

how long the payee's account (person dropping the check) has been open

3 months is the minimum if youre trying to go for an undefeated record

the bank also plays a HUGE factor on the amount

boa wave 3 months+ 15k

chase 3 month 1-4k

bmo harris 2 weeks 2-6k

it really just varies for them all

i generally only use accounts that have been on 1+ year(s)

and do 5-20k

I do have method to bypass limits meaning you can use fresher accounts

so to sum it up if the account is fresh go low or dont use it

the longer its been on the more you can do simple

Date - White -- Check number - Purple

these two are peanut butter and jelly

they have to make sense together or you ruin the entire slip

so here my check number is 2121

date is 5/10/21

so when i make my slip i cant date it before 5/10

and the check number cant be below or the same as 2121

because then youll be writting out a check that has already been cashed

which will in turn ruin your slip and make it impossible to cash

so you then have to think okay my food is from 5/10 and the number is 2121

i have to make sure my check number is higher than the one im using

BUT you have to use a number they COULDNT have possibly cashed

that was a month ago so on my slip ill use something like 3794

the chances of them writting 1.6k checks in a month is extremely low based off the

original check number

so say the original number was 394054

and the slip was from 5/10 id use 396482 even 2k check is a lot for

a big company unless you using a huge company but if youre using a huge company

chances are you wont hit because they have security features that sends alerts for every

transaction

but if my slip was 2121 and the date was 6/8/21

id number mine 2629 not too high but high enough to where they couldnt cash it

and id date it the same

for older food i.e. 5/10 try to date your checks on the same weekday

so if 5/10 is tuesday date yours with 1-2 weeks off current date ie 5/27

idk if thats the exact day lol but you get the point

TAKE YOUR TIME UNDERSTANDING THAT NUMBER AND DATE PART

Signature - Purple

Some people write out the signatures themselves but this is usually only for

personal checks or small businesses

big companies will have a printed signature this can be found on google

not all signatures are good though

this one is good its clean and simple

all you have to do is download it the software will place it for you

here's an example of a bad one

bad because its a "celebrity signature" meaning its known

this one is bad because it has shadows

basically just stick to the simple ones to avoid any mishaps

google and bing have diffent signatures

you can also get creative and search "doctor signatures" to mix it up

youre an artist get different color paint

Memo - Purple

just put a memo similar to the one on the original check

Bank details - Purple

simply put what you see

Account and Routing - Orange

plain and simple type it exactly how you see it

being off by one number is the end of the play so be careful and double check

now lets get to the software

this is the pay screen aka the only screen you need

once you open versacheck youll have some prompts come up

to make a new account

you can exit out and hit pay to pull it up again or just start there

but doing it from the pay screen which can be accessed by hitting "pay" on

the far left

the select "account" located below print and below pay

hit new account

where it says checking you just put any name to help you better find the check when

you want to go to it

always turn off account validation safeguards or youll get pop ups until

your eyes bleed

then hit next TWICE because the second screen doesnt matter

on the 3rd screen you enter the account owner details as shown on the original

check

Get every detail

you see the first letter of every words is capped.....on your check do the same

sometimes its all caps then you do the same

NEVER PUT THE PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL

Then hit finish

itll ask you for the "next check number" you should have your number in mind

based off how i explained how to pick your number

check was 2121 on 5/10

im gonna do 3729

hit next

as you can see it says the fraction code is optional but like i said put it if

you see it

the 710 goes in the second box but its a pro move to put it all in one box

the second box can then be converted to say something else

youll see in a moment

at the bottom you just check number, acc and routing as shown on the original

check

on business checks the order is

check number--routing----account

personal is

routing----account-----check number

which is also a way to tell what kind of check youre using

okay so sometimes the account number will be multiple spaces from the account

number so you have to use your eye and kinda feel it out for yourself

sometimes there will be no space. just type what you see

as for writting checks from logs you find the account and routing along with

the name and address of the owner and fill it in the same way as any other check

you then check if the log has written a check and make your number higher than

that if not 1001 is the number you use to go deeper thats part of a seperate method

hit next

just enter the bank detailsas seen on the original check

Hit next

check the enable check pattern and color

then hit change style

then hit new on the bottom left

type a random style name

then hit browse

find the check that looks like the one im going to show you and

RENAME IT TO MAKE IT EASIER TO FIND FOR WHEN YOU MAKE NEW CHECKS

once youve done that hit ok

then ok

then next

where it says signature type just select "image"

now here you add the account owner logo (if on the original check)

bank logo (if on the original check)

printable signature image

hit express check design

size your logo and all

here's where your time will be spent

it's time to paint

every detail on the check should match up

its the smallest shit trust me

you see the account owners info is centered

on the original its left justified

so to pull up the customize menu for each element just double click it

now you see my logo is EXACT but thats generally as good as it gets

unless the logo is on google or bing or you know who to photoshop

font size i usually use is 10 for major details like account owner name check amount

payee name

the rest is usually a 9

you have to click each element and make sure its the same font and size as the others

checks usually only use times new roman or arial

these two are easily distinguishable

to remove the barcode double click

hit advanced

and uncheck the postal box

now the bottom fraction should be changed to say "reference"

this is so we can put "void after 90 days" (if its on our check)

some say different this but you can basically make it say whatever you want

make sure to move the "/" that gets left behind

this can also be changed to say whatever you want while mapping the check unlike

reference which you cant see untill you preview the check

drag anything you dont want below the dotted line

to get the box off the "0.00" momve the "0.00" then move the box

then put 0.00 back

See its not hard you just have to take your time

use a mouse instead of a track pad for precise lining and placement

once done hit save (floppy disk)

then exit

then hit finish

now all you need to do is add the payee

you can either hit contact manager and then hit new to add someone

from the pay screen you click the 3 dots on the sample check in the middle

of the screen

put their info in then hit okay

put your date and amount

along with the reference [(void after) if on the check]

hit record then hit print

hit okay itll bring up a prompt for last minute changes

if no changes hit next next and print but id advise hitting preview to make sure

shit looks right

good

the circles are built into the check paper

that part doesnt matter

PAPER DOES MATTER but exact matching doesnt

but thats how to cook =) pm me any questions and for food thanks for coming

- Thanks!
