Investigators of the Police Department No. 4 of the Investigative Department of the City Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia completed the investigation of the criminal case under hch. 2, 3 and 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud" against a 39-year-old resident of Astrakhan, accused of committing 9 episodes of fraud.

During the preliminary investigation, it was established that the accused posted information about the provision of construction services on the site of free ads. During the year, he was contacted by Astrakhan residents and a resident of the Krasnodar Territory, to whom the man promised to provide various services, while contracts for paid construction work were not concluded with anyone. After paying the required amount, the accused either did not provide services in full, or did not perform them at all.

The minimum amount of damage caused was 32,795 rubles, and the maximum amount was 101,108. 16 rubles.

So, an Astrakhan resident, while in the Krasnodar Territory, told a local resident that he could build a three-story hotel from log cabins. For six months, the woman gave him more than 10 million rubles in cash and non-cash.

The damage caused to all the victims amounted to 12377853 rubles. The criminal case was sent to the Prosecutor's Office for approval of the indictment. The accused may face a sentence of up to 10 years imprisonment with a fine of up to one million rubles.
