Another case of fraud occurred in Buryatia ― a resident of the Kabansky district tried to make money on cryptocurrencies, but trusted the scammers and lost about 1.8 million rubles.

A 45-year-old man responded to an offer to earn money on cryptocurrencies. At the same time, he was well aware of the large number of scams in this area, but previous successful investment experience outweighed the possible risks.

As a result, according to the instructions of the "investment manager", the man downloaded and installed the app on his phone. And I even managed to earn money with the help of a "personal trader" ― I invested 281,000 rubles and brought out an income of 14,000 rubles.

After the first successes, the victim decided to increase the volume of investments and transferred more than 1.5 million rubles to fraudsters. After that, the app stopped working, and "managers" disappeared from social networks.

Now the law enforcement agencies of Buryatia are investigating a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on a particularly large scale").
