NEVER emboss the entire correct cc#,,EVER! As long as you get the first four and last four correct on the card you will be good. I always change up the numbers in the third set in the acct number incase the cashier tries to do a manual auth or over the phone,,it will get kicked back as invalid. Because it is so much easier to talk your way out with an invalid acct number,,just say opps,,that must be the one I thought I lost and cancelled it. If you emboss the whole correct number and exp date then you need to deal with an "invalid security code" message that will pop up on their terminal when they go to enter the cvv2 off the back and the backs are allways the weakest parts of our cards especially with printed sig strips and cvv2s,,,and that is the LAST place you want a cashier looking over closely. A good rule is never swipe more than three cards at one terminal,,,you get three cards to deline in a row,,,better to try your luck somewhere else.
