This smart card replaces the original JCOP21-36 discontinued in 2011 by manufacturer, NXP. It is the next generation card that is faster, better, with more memory and costs less, J2A040. We use that card and downgrade it by special utility created by expert programmer shrinking it down back to 36k and setup original JCOP21-36 had at the time.

What is ARQC​

Steps for ARQC Generation
There are four basic steps to ARQC generation:

1. Card Key Derivation
2. Session Key Derivation
3. Preparation of Input Data in ARQC Calculation
4. Encryption/ Hashing (the final step that gives the ARQC)

Restating the above list, the first step is to derive the card key and then use the card key to derive a session key. In parallel, we need to prepare some data and then encrypt that data with the session key derived in the previous step.
Exact details vary from one chip program to another!

Step 1 and 2: Card and Session Key Derivation
When a card is out in the field, it already contains Issuer Master Key. But to create an ARQC for a particular transaction, two new keys are required: the first key is called Card Key and the second key is called Session Key. Each EMV scheme (such as M/Chip and Visa) has its own algorithm for generation of the card key and/ or the session key. Some of these algorithms are standardized and part of the EMV specification while some others are proprietary with the vendor.
The Card Key is unique to the card and the Session Key is unique to the transaction. It's Session Key which is used for the final encryption in step 4.

Step 3: Data Preparation
In parallel to the key derivation as described above, an important step of ARQC generation is “preparation of input data”, mentioned as point #3 in the list above. Once again, which EMV tags are concatenated to prepare this input data is EMV scheme specific.

Step 4: ARQC Generation
Finally, once the Session Key and Input Data are ready, the Input Data is encrypted using the Session Key to give the ARQC.

You agree that we do not have to issue any refund or replacement after the cooling-off period. However, we are to evaluate your situation and we might issue them solely at our own discretion.

7. Warranty
7.1 Limited Warranty
We warrant that all of our products are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of sixty (60) days for EMV products and one (1) year for all other products unless otherwise stated. This period is counted from the date of the shipment.
The product will then have to be returned by the customer to the specified address (to our factory or facility). We will, without charge, repair or replace at our option, any product returned for warranty work and found to be defective by us.
If we will find that the returned product is defective and falls within the terms of this warranty, we will ship free of charge the product, back to the customer with a postal or courier service at our own discretion.
This warranty will not apply to any of our products which should have been:
Repaired or altered (except by us)
Tampered with or the seal case has been broken (if applicable)
Poured onto glue or any other kind of liquids / substances
Subjected to misuse, negligence, or accident.
In no case shall our liability exceed the purchase price. The mentioned provisions do not extend the original warranty period of any product which either been repaired or replaced by us. The user is solely responsible for determining if the product is usable in his or her application.
We will not cover, under any circumstances, any customs or customs processing charges. Any such charges will be billed to the customer.
If a product has been returned for warranty repair and it is found to be in working order, we will charge a revision fee (usually 80 usd unless otherwise stated) and the shipping fees to return it back to the customer; in this case we will not cover the customer’s shipping fees.

7.2 Out of Warranty Repairs
We provide out of warranty repair service. Minimum charges will apply for working or non-working hardware returned for service.
To return any product for service or to obtain an estimated price, please complete this form. If we accept your repair we will issue a RMA number and shipping instructions. The customer is responsible for all shipping expenses.
After we test and evaluate the fault, the customer will be notified via e-mail of the services that need to be performed and the value of the repair. The product will not be returned to the customer until the payment is completed. Our accepted payment methods are detailed here.
All our repairs are warranted for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of shipment. This warranty applies only to those goods which were found to be defective and repaired; it does not apply to products in which no defect was found. Warranty covers the normal product use outlined in our Limited Warranty.

7.3 Obsolete Product Repair
We will continue to repair obsolete products as long as a qualified support technician is available to perform the repair and replacement component parts and test stands are commercially available.
