The country's medicine is isolated until better times.

The Israeli Health Ministry has ordered several hospitals to temporarily disconnect their systems from the Internet due to fears of cyber attacks. This decision was made as part of a program to strengthen the country's economic sustainability and increase the level of protection of medical institutions.

At the moment, protective measures do not affect the functioning of hospitals, and patients continue to receive treatment. However, it is not specified whether this decision was a response to the current threat or specific warnings about possible attacks.

Since 2021, Israeli hospitals have faced a number of cyber attacks. Some of the incidents have led to serious consequences. The campaigns included ransomware attacks, DDoS attacks, and data breaches aimed at paralyzing hospitals and compromising patient information.

In July 2023, journalists had a unique opportunity to visit the planned launch of the "Cyber Dome" of Israel. The project is being developed as the digital equivalent of the "Iron Dome" for cybersecurity. The main purpose of the Cyber Dome is to protect Israel's key infrastructure from potential cyber attacks from hostile States and other threats on the Internet.
