Why is java needed to log into forum?

It is not save to browse securely with JAVA on, since it is possible to discover your real IP.

however, I cannot get on to this forum or csu with java disabled. It has to do with the domain redirect. I have to go to inner page to login.

Can this be fixed? Why not just use php redirect in domain?

You mean java script? Because java script is used in redirection on this forum. And without enabling java script you can't connect to the forum.
