1. What is crypto?​

In simple terms, crypt is the encryption of information in files, which protects the virus from detection by various antivirus software.

2. Why do you need crypto?​

Without using smart terms, crypt is mainly intended for encrypting various viruses, such as RAT, stealers, loaders, etc.

By using crypt, we thereby give our virus the opportunity to infect the victim's PC without being detected by installed antiviruses.

Now we move on to the next question - "How to determine the quality of crypto?"

3. Checking the crypto for quality​

1. Bypassing browser protection - every time you download files, your browser actively checks the file for viruses or suspicious software. When downloading, alerts pop up, like (file may pose a threat, do you want to save this file or is the file blocked at all), ideally there should be 0 alerts, downloaded file -> file saved.

2. ScanTime is when various AVs check the file after it has already been downloaded. If AVs do not complain about the file, then we have passed the first stages of checking the crypt.

3. RunTime — checking the file when it is opened. All AVs check our file dynamically when it is opened. Antiviruses do not like suspicious files and as soon as they find something, they immediately issue that the FILE IS DANGEROUS or even worse, they simply put your file in quarantine (goodbye knock).

4. SmartScreen is an evil thing that 99% of cryptors cannot bypass. SmartScreen checks a file for a digital signature (SSL certificate). Such a signature costs several thousand dollars on average, or even more, but it is not so easy to find on the clearnet, since these signatures are under strict protection and are not transferred to third parties. In general, if your cryptor bypasses SmartScreen, I congratulate you, you have found one of those few craftsmen.

3.1 Let's put it all together now:​

Bypassing browser protection, Scantime, Runtime and SmartScreen are the factors that increase the likelihood of the victim's PC being infected with a virus.

4. Where to check our crypto for efficiency?​

FUD crypt is a designation for an ideal crypt (virus), which no antivirus can recognize.

Every person providing crypto services boasts that they have a small number of detections. However, this is not always the case. The role of the cryptor is to clean our FUD stab, usually this is done once a day. But why does the FUD crypto get clogged? Antiviruses are updated every day, every day they close the path of the virus software to the victim's PC a little.

Most people make a big mistake and think that after checking through a scanner or launching it on a random dedicated server, they will definitely find out the quality of the crypt. Unfortunately, this is not the case, it often happens that all checkers show 0 detections and when launching an encrypted file on a dedicated server, you have 0 problems, but 90% of real users' PCs will instantly destroy the file and will not even let it be saved...

The best way to check the operability of the crypt is to install it on a dedicated server or a PC with the latest version of Windows, where the latest Windows Defender updates are also installed, and download at least AVAST, AVG, and preferably the top 5 most popular antiviruses. Yes, I understand this is a rather difficult procedure, but you yourself choose either 10% of the rest, or several hours of wasted time.

Basically, the lion's majority of cryptocurrencies do not perform this check and sell you practically useless crypto in advance. Also, the quality of the crypto is affected by its uniqueness.

And so, we smoothly move on to the semi-final of our article...

5. What is PUBLIC and UNIC stab (crypto)?​

• A unique stub is a stub that is tailored to a specific person.
• Public stab is when a cryptocurrency makes the same stab as everyone else

A unique stub will remain undetected for a long period of time due to the fact that its code is individual, unlike a public stub.

Let's say you took a public stub, then over time each stub begins to collect detections from various AVs, all people who use the same stub as you will accumulate these detections together with you, and if you use a unique stub, your detections will depend only on your activity in spreading the virus. If you do not touch it, then your FUD will be clean! (also each stub has a weight. Each has its own goals, so choose for yourself and ask about its weight before buying).

6. Results​

We found out how to check the quality of the crypt and increase the time of its stable operation. On my own behalf, I will say that there is a lot of slag on the market that only visualizes the crypt file.

• When you buy crypto for $10, expect the corresponding quality.
• A good crypto with a unique stab costs around $100+, but here you need to approach the choice of a cryptor responsibly, since there are craftsmen who, even for this money, will sell you a dud

Please note that a crypt written in Python (yes, there are such) will not cope with even 50% of all AV, and in general, this is complete crap, do not waste your time and money. The functionality of this language is not enough. All good crypts are written in other PLs and have more complex algorithms.

7. Personal advice​

2. It is better to choose a more expensive crypto than a crypto that will kill you with a knockout of 0
3. Never trust virus scanners on the Internet, always check with a real PC or a simulation of a REAL PC
4. If you take crypto for $10 - you won't find a 100% knock
5. A good crypto costs from $50, and sometimes more than $150
