In browsers based on Chromium and Firefox, support for WebRTC technology is implemented, which allows you to conduct audio and video chat right in the browser window.

However, aside from convenience, this feature has an unpleasant side effect: some sites can use it to bypass the VPN and find out the user's real IP address. To check your browser for a WebRTC leak, go to ipleak.net/. If you see your IP address in the WebRTC detection section, then follow these steps:

In Firefox, go to about: config in the address bar and then find the media.peerconnection.enabled parameter and set it to False. If you are using Chrome, then install the WebRTC Leak Prevent extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/webrtc-leak-prevent/eiadekoaikejlgdbkbdfeijglgfdalml). Or activate the corresponding parameter in the uBlock Origin plugin settings (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm), if you have it installed.
