The Prosecutor's Office of the Pervomaisky District of Minsk sent to court a criminal case against 17- and 19-year-old residents of the capital, who were charged with fraud on an especially large scale as part of an organized group.

According to the case file, the accused joined a criminal community and undertook to arrive at the direction of the "curators" at certain addresses, to receive money and other property belonging to the victims from uninformed persons. Then, at the direction of the "curators", such property was to be transferred to the disposal of the organizers and leaders of the criminal group.

The duties of the minor defendants also included making telephone calls to banking institutions of the Republic of Belarus. In particular, on behalf of third parties, they applied for a loan, and the money received through current accounts was subsequently transferred to other members of the community. At the same time, they used the passport data of uninformed citizens who had previously been in their possession as a result of criminal activity.

The first defendant illegally took possession of other people's money and property worth 125 thousand rubles, and also tried to steal another 140 thousand rubles. The second defendant, by deception, took possession of the money and property of the victims for 120 thousand rubles.

The criminal case was in the proceedings of the Pervomaisky (Minsk) district department of the Investigative Committee.

The prosecutor's office of the Pervomaiski district of Minsk came to the conclusion that the charges were justified, the evidence collected was sufficient, and a full and objective study of the circumstances of the crime was carried out. We agreed with the qualification of the deed under Part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The prosecutor left the previously chosen measure of restraint in the form of detention unchanged against the accused.
