Investigators of the National Police of Ukraine are looking for persons who became victims of the S-Group fund, on behalf of which investors were offered to invest in tokens and receive passive income.
The founders of the fund offered to invest in fictitious tokens, which are not on the list of those available for trading on any international cryptocurrency exchange, law enforcement officials say.
The fund's clients were promised not only passive income, but also bonuses for attracting new participants. Funds received from users were transferred to the cryptocurrency wallet of the S-Group organizers. The number of victims is in the thousands, and the damage is estimated at tens of millions of hryvnia.
The geography of the project's activities covered Ukraine, Russia and the countries of the European Union. Investigators claim that the organizers of the scheme were Ukrainian citizens.
