This article is suitable for beginners only. On the example we will analyze How to correctly select bins for payment.

A BIN (Bank Identification Number), also known as an IIN (Issuer Identification Number) or BIN code, is the first 6 to 8 digits of a credit card or debit card number.

We'll need tools like these for the job:

1. A trusted source where you buy cards (shop / seller etc)
2. Bin checkers to check the bins.
3. System and IP in this article we will not consider, but if necessary, I will write a separate article about it

1. In this article, I will use MCLUB shop for an example.

2. We will use bins.su to check bins and bincodes.com to double-check. Since the bases are quickly outdated and often updated, the information on different checkers can be different and we need that the result on both checkers was identical, it will mean that with a high probability the information is correct.

The first thing I do is go to the store and set the parameters for the search as in the screenshot. Today I will make a payment in a store where there are no 3ds and no AVS reconciliation, so the most important thing is to choose a non-public card with a balance.

I choose bases with a green tag (there is very good validity) further from the criteria for search I choose Class - Debit, Level - Business.

Now we need to choose the right bin. Let me tell you right away, we do NOT need big public banks (BOA, Chase, Wells Fargo etc).

Let's focus on choosing a federal credit union / credit union (FCU/ CU).

I chose bin 406838. Now I go to the sites that check the bin and see if it fits my criteria.

As we can see FCU bin and both checkers show identical information, which means that this bin fits our criteria and is suitable for work.

Now we buy the card and proceed to payment.

Payment was successful. This means that we have chosen the right bin. The right bin is the lion's share of success. It is also very important that the payment was successful the first time. Antifrod doesn't like it when several cards are used for payment. Take cards only where you are sure that the quality is good. Always choose the bin very carefully. Thank you for your attention and good luck in your work!
