Most of the users who visit The Pirate Bay torrent resource download fresh content, but among the distributions there are, without exaggeration, old-timers who are already 20 years old.

The publication TorrentFreak provides interesting statistics: one of the episodes of the Swedish TV series "High Bush" is distributed on the "Pirate Bay" for more than 20 years. The same anniversary was marked by a documentary about the history of GNU, Linux - "Revolution OS".

The Pirate Bay site itself, we recall, was launched in 2003, when the Internet still did not know what YouTube, Facebook and others were. Napster at that time offered people free music, but Pirate Bay went further, adding other types of media content-TV series and movies.

Most of the old torrent files are currently unavailable, of course. The BitTorrent protocol requires at least one giver to make a full copy of the file in order for the giveaway itself to be active. Some, apparently, manage to distribute for decades.

For example, a few days ago, the torrent file of one of the episodes of the TV series "High Bush" turned 20 years old. It was published on March 25, 2004.

The documentary "Revolution OS" can also boast of longevity: the corresponding distribution was launched on March 31, 2004.
