The woman said that about two months ago, on one of the dating sites, a foreigner named Eric wrote to her, who introduced himself as a doctor-surgeon, allegedly working in Syria.

Close communication began between them, after which the man told Chernihiv that he wanted to leave Syria, but for this he needed financial assistance. The victim agreed to help and first transferred more than 30 thousand hryvnias to an unknown account. After that, the online friend again asked for help: allegedly, he needed money to buy air tickets and issue various documents for leaving abroad.

In general, the trusting woman transferred more than 2 million hryvnias to unknown bank accounts. When she realized that she had been deceived, she turned to the police for help.
