The Moscow City Court found Firuz Temirboevich Dadoboev, born in 1977, an IT specialist of one of the capital's commercial firms, with dual citizenship, guilty of committing high treason in favor of the United States. By a court decision, he was sentenced to 13 years and 6 months in prison with serving a sentence in a maximum security colony and a fine of 300 thousand rubles.
It was established that F.T. Dadoboev, having information obtained illegally and constituting a state secret, guided by criminal intent, intended to transfer it to a representative of American intelligence. To this end, he established contact with the CIA.
According to the results of the operational-search measures carried out in October 2022, while trying to transfer the collected secret materials, F.T. Dadoboev was detained by officers of the FSB of Russia.
The Investigation Department of the FSB of Russia initiated and investigated a criminal case under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Russia (high treason).
F.T. Dadoboev pleaded guilty and repented of what he had done.
The sentence has not entered into force.
