Dadoboev established contact with foreign intelligence, but was caught.

The Moscow City Court sentenced Firuz Temirboevich Dadoboev, an IT specialist with dual citizenship, accused of high treason in favor of the United States. This was reported to TASS in the Center for Public Relations (DSP) of the FSB of Russia. Dadoboev received 13 years and 6 months in prison in a maximum security colony, and was also fined 300 thousand rubles.

The DSP explained that Dadoboev, born in 1977, worked as an IT specialist in one of the Moscow commercial firms. He illegally gained access to information constituting a state secret, and tried to pass it on to a representative of American intelligence, establishing contact with the CIA. In October 2022, while trying to transfer classified materials, he was detained by FSB officers.

Dadoboev pleaded guilty and expressed remorse for what he had done, the DSP specified. The sentence has not yet entered into force.

The criminal case under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason") was investigated by the investigative unit of the FSB in Moscow and the Moscow region.
