Subconscious modeling is a non-sexual way of reproducing a personality.

Despite the fact that I spent 10 years in an English special school and 6 years at the institute, I could perfectly pronounce only one English phrase: 'My English is poor'. And that is why I was even ready to get hit on the head with a brick, but when I woke up, I already knew English. All jokes, but the combination of global laziness with the equally global idea of personal growth made me undertake developments in the field of applying NLP techniques to myself. Because when working with others, everything turns out quickly and well, and certain problems arise with oneself. Subconscious Modeling (PM) is the result of these developments and one of the ways to get around the difficulties that arise.

I want to say right away that this is not a technique or even a model for collecting information. Rather, it is an idea or a way to use the power of the subconscious. Referring to Richard Bandler, who once said that 'the subconscious will do anything if it is well instructed', I can say that PM is just one of the options for how to instruct it.

In this article I will try to give both a general view of PM for lovers of large paintings, as well as a detailed step-by-step description of several options for applying PM to various techniques and just a few ideas about it.

One of the differences between the subconscious and consciousness is that consciousness is more consistent and linear, while the subconscious is more chaotic and parallel. Parallel in the sense that it is capable of doing several things at the same time. And it can model some conscious processes quite well. What you are now invited to do.

I want to warn you right away that PM is not a theoretical calculation, but a completely practical thing. And you can try some things just as you read it. Therefore, I will first bring to your attention an example of use, and then I will try to give a general description of the model.

But if anyone wants, they can do it right away, and read the examples later.

Problem solving

I must say right away that problem solving is about solving problems in general. When I do a demo, I just ask to leave the 'volunteer who has a problem' without specifying in more detail what the problem is. To begin with, I propose to choose not "something global, oppressive throughout life", but something of moderate severity and easily checked. To make sure this thing works.

For lovers of step-by-step descriptions, it will be given a little later (below, further).

So, after you have chosen the problem with which you would like to work, you need to formulate it. I warn you right away that this is the most difficult and time-consuming operation in the PM.

After you have determined what you want to work with, you need to choose your Instructor or Therapist, who you like best. You can call him something else, if only he, in your opinion, can help you solve your problem. It can be either a person you know or even a literary character. (I once, for a change, chose Milton Erickson for myself, although I have never seen or heard him, but only read about him). It can be yourself when you are in the state of the Therapist.

After you choose an Instructor, try to imagine one. How does it look from the outside. What his voice is. Create a clear idea of it. Then imagine yourself ready to deal with this problem (client state). How do you look from the outside, what is your voice at the same time.

If you cannot hear the voice, you can work without it. The main thing is that there would be a picture, even if it is very blurry and indistinct.

Place the Client and Therapist on the same picture so that they are together and 'let go' both of these images, let them come to life. Let them move as they see fit. Talk to them.

If they don't have a voice, let them nod their heads or wave their hands in response.

The main thing here is to be passive. You do not think about how they should move and speak according to your idea, but allow your unconscious to do this.

Sometimes it is useful to compare with animation, with animation of drawings. Or a memory of childhood, of those times when dolls came to life and dogs and cats talked.

After that, invite them to tackle your problem.

It is most important that the Client believes, at least on an unconscious level, that the Therapist of his choice can cope with the task at hand.

And if the Client does not consciously believe, but there is still unconscious confidence, then this can give an even greater effect for solving the problem.

Now you just have to wait for them to finish. Ask them to tell you about it. With a voice, a nod of your head, a wave of your hand - it all depends on how you agreed. It is sometimes helpful to ask if they have finished or not.

In the event that they work in your opinion for too long, you can do it in several ways.

1. Determine when they are going to finish. For example, ask the question: 'Will 5 (7, 15, 45 ...) minutes be enough for you?' If they say no, then add another 2-3 minutes.

2. Create a work room within yourself, where time flows in a very unusual way. It can take 100 years inside a room, but exactly 3 minutes always pass outside.

In the room, as you can imagine, it can be unusual and in a completely different way. For example, flow 10 times faster (15, 13, 127 ...) or flow forward and backward; or something else.

If you are working PM with someone, it is sometimes helpful to make a preliminary message that 'unlike consciousness, the subconscious is timeless. And so change can happen extremely quickly there.

After they finish their work, you need to check if your problem is solved. To do this, put the Client in a situation where you would have had an undesirable reaction before, and see what has changed. Do you like the way it works there. Remember that situations should be thought up in the future, not remembered.

Now you just need to get access to the changes by integrating with the Client. To do this, allow this image to enter you and dissolve. Or push it into you. Or maybe it will be easier for you to enter the image yourself and, as it were, 'put on' it on yourself.

You can also integrate with the Therapist, but only if you have chosen yourself for his role.

Sometimes it is additionally useful to carry out an environmental check. Or at least ask the Client and Therapist if they did it.

And now the promised.

Step by step description

1. Formulation of the problem.

Identify and articulate what you want to work with.

2. Choosing a therapist.

Choose someone who you think can help you with this problem. It can be either a real person or a fictional one. For example, the Great NLPist.

Create a dissociated visual image of it. Try to hear his voice.

3. Client

Imagine yourself being ready to work with the stated problem. Create a dissociated visual image. Add sound.

4. Work.

Place the Therapist with the Client in the 'time room' and offer to solve the problem.

5. Verification.

After you have received the information about the completion of the work, check whether you are satisfied with the changes that have occurred with the Client. If yes, then you integrate, if not, then return to step 4 and invite the Therapist to work with the Client for more, taking into account your comments and additions.

6. Integration.

Integrate with the Client, and if you yourself played the role of the Therapist, then with him too.

General view

I gave this development the name PM because it is a way to model conscious (and not only) processes at a subconscious level.

PM is based, as it were, on three pillars - on the separation of states, on the parallelism of the unconscious and passivity of consciousness. The first means that consciousness at any given moment of time can be only in one specific state. In the event that you are going to work with yourself consciously, then you will have to constantly move from the state of the Client to the state of the Therapist and back.

The second means that in the subconscious, these two states can exist in parallel and simultaneously, which allows them to interact with each other. This is very similar to working with parts, but the trick is that in this context the Client and Therapist are not framed as parts, they exist only during work. This is just a metaphor. As, however, the idea of parts is also a metaphor. Consciousness is simply not capable of working with processes. There are no tools for this. Therefore, we turn the process into a certain concrete thing, which can already be moved, laid down and given a voice to it. And all this is just a symbol, a designation of what is happening in the unconscious.

The passivity of consciousness requires that the consciousness does not climb and interfere. Let go of the images and allow them to live their lives for a while. This can also be called a metaphor about how to remove control. You give direction, purpose and do not interfere with the unconscious to make the necessary changes. Naturally, in your head there is neither a room nor a Therapist with a Client (although they certainly are), it is just in this way that a connection is made between the state in which the experience needs to be regrouped and the state where there are instructions for this regrouping.

Let go of yourself and allow yourself to change.

Now for a few more use cases.

Advice

This is for a person who finds it difficult to choose what to do in any situation, or he cannot figure out what to do at all. He needs to think about what people, in his opinion, can cope well with this task. These can be quite real personalities, you can take the hero of a film or book, you can choose yourself in a situation where you were resourceful and quick-witted. And it is not at all necessary whether this person can actually help you solve this problem. The main thing is that you think that he can do it. And try to find about 3-5 such assistants.

Now imagine all these people sitting in front of you. Let's conditionally call them the Council. Ask if they agree to help you solve your problems. If so, they will answer you that way. And so that there is no bazaar, you can offer them to choose someone who will organize the whole process and communicate with you. Let's say the Chairman.

If scoring images is difficult for you, you can give the Chairman a vote. Enter the image, and say a couple of phrases to yourself. Then associate and say the same phrases and try to find the maximum amount of submodal differences between these two voices. Then you can separate them.

Formulate to the Council what you want to get from them. Keep in mind that they will find a solution to your problem only if you give them the right task. They will do what you ask them to do, not what you want them to do. Very often these are completely different things. So then do not be offended.

'Council' is a purely informational option. That is, it does not automatically lead to internal changes. You receive recommendations and can use them at your discretion.

Did they go to a meeting? Perfectly. Let them work there, and you can read on. Just remember to find out how they are doing there. This is the big plus of Subconscious Modeling. While the problem is being solved, you can do something else. The subconscious mind is a multitasking system.

And after the showdown is over, they will simply tell you about the results. Or you can log into the one who was at the meeting, and then you will get full access to all the information, but in analog form. (())

Creation of the Meta-Part (internal NLPer)

Although the benefit of PM is precisely that you can run certain processes without creating parts responsible for them, this technique can be applied quite effectively to creating parts. I will give you an option when first you do the Meta Part, and then you give her the task to do the rest. Although you can think of other ways.

Meta-Part or NLPer (as you like) is engaged in the fact that in an autonomous manner to solve your problems. A kind of internal psychotherapist. So ...

1. Image

Imagine how you look from the outside when you are in the state of the Therapist. Appearance: costume, hairstyle, voice, posture, facial expression.

2. Obtaining consent

Ask if the Therapist agrees to be your Meta-Part, that is, to play the role of a kind of permanent internal NLPer. He can start work at your request, but you can also define a context and a situation that would be a signal to activate the Meta-Part. I usually suggest using negative meta-sensation (K-) as a signal.

I usually require the person who creates the Meta Part to know the 6-step reframing. He knew exactly. That is, it would be enough for him to read the step-by-step description. But if he did, then it's generally great.

If he agrees, you go to the next step, if not, then you can do the following:

1. Define more accurately the function and contexts of the Therapist's work.

2. Change the image of the Therapist until he agrees to your question.

3. Sometimes the Therapist is not ready to be a part, that is, he does not take responsibility, but agrees to try his hand. And you can give him that opportunity by giving him a trial period. And then, in a month, year, hour or week, which may pass in the room of time, you will return to discussing this issue.

3. Environmental verification

Find out if there are parts that are against the Therapist becoming a part of you. If they exist, invite the Therapist to resolve the issue.

The funny thing about this situation is that the Therapist is not yet part of you, but can temporarily perform its functions.

4. Integration

If there are no parts that are against the Therapist becoming a Meta Part, you can take it into yourself.

5. Functional check

Make sure the Meta Part is working. Do some tests. For example:

1. Ask to change the uncomfortable situation.

2. Ask to change behavior in a specific context.

3. Formulate the problem and offer to solve it.

Part creation.

Once you have an inner NLPist, creating a piece is usually easy. In the first option, you only need to clearly articulate the function of the part that you are going to create, the rest will be completed by the Meta-Part. In another version, you imagine an image of yourself achieving this goal, check the ecology, and again hand over all contracts with the rest of the parts of the Meta-Part.

I usually recommend that my students create a piece for themselves that does the adjustment. I think everyone can formulate the function for themselves. For example, 'Harmonizing relationships with other people', or 'Getting love'. Everyone has their own.

Subconscious Brainstorming Simulation

Brainstorming is usually used in situations where an idea is needed. 'A rival firm has released a new car. We need to come up with something to get around them. 'In strategy, it is similar to Walt Disney's Genius Strategy. There is simply no Implementator (Kinesthetic).

From another point of view, it is more of a hemispheric model than a modal one. Conventionally, the participants in the Brainstorming session are divided into Creators (right hemisphere) and Analysts (left).

The main idea is to separate the states of creativity and analysis. First, the Creators sketch out ideas (somewhere in the range of 5-7 pieces), of which Analysts select the most valuable ones. What serves as a base for the Creators.

With each circle, the search area narrows until it acquires a sufficiently noticeable outline. This is usually achieved in 3-4 laps. The MS's task is to formulate one or several goals, to which Walt Disney can then be applied. So...

Think and choose 5-7 people, in your opinion the most creative and original. You, however, in a state of maximum creative upsurge, I would also recommend including among them.

Then recruit a group of analysts. Two or three of them are enough. Place them in the 'room of time' or in any other place where you will not interfere with them and offer to solve a very real life problem. But do not forget that their task is only to give an idea. Or a few ideas. And not to describe everything step by step. This is Walt Disney.

Ideas

1. PM can be used both for solving problems and for teaching or obtaining information.

2. With the help of PM, you can easily learn or simulate. Choose someone who is good at something, and you would like to learn from him, visualize and send with you to the 'room of time' for learning.

3. A new past can be modeled. And not just one.

4. You can also use the PM for certain developments in the field of skills and modeling situations.

5. It is possible to influence the result of PM by changing the mood (facial expression, voice) of the Therapist, Client, Creator and others.

6. It is quite easy to simulate techniques such as Walt Disney's Genius Strategy or Brainstorming.

7. PM is best used for working with oneself, or for quick intervention for an adapted client.

8. The most important thing is to confuse a person's head so that he allows himself to change.

Notes (edit)

1. I had a case when PM was used to relieve a phobia in a person who had not heard anything about NLP. And it worked.

2. All attempts to simulate a calculator or computer have been a complete fiasco so far. It was not possible to obtain accurate calculation results from these models.

Summary

I hope that you enjoy Subconscious Modeling or have already enjoyed it. You can experiment with this thing, but you shouldn't consider it a panacea. In my experience, she is good at making those changes that the person is ready for, and can start to screw up on tasks set for fun. In my opinion, with the help of PM, you can greatly facilitate your life, but relax your brain.

Well, goodbye!
