You went on a date with your dream girl yesterday and she turned out to be a gangbang? I was preparing for the exam all night, but completely unfamiliar questions fell out? Got a brand new iPhone and crashed it 5 minutes later? Shorted the cue ball and got a 50k short squeeze? Sod's Law? Well, of course! Now I'll tell you everything about him.

Introduction
How often is the law of meanness present in your life? I'm sure almost all the time. Remember that very feeling when the most unlikely and undesirable outcome of events, as luck would have it, becomes reality. Different thoughts come into my head. Why exactly with me? Why now? What is it? The God? Universe? Fate? Reptilians? Matrix in the end? Someone clearly does not want everything to be fine with me and constantly puts spokes in the wheels. People have come up with a very apt name for this sinister force that every now and then attracts failure to you. Law of meanness, law of a sandwich, Murphy's law, general's effect.

Murphy
Let's remember the masterpiece film Interstellar and dwell on Murphy's Law. Who is this Murphy? In the middle of the last century, there was a US Navy Major, Edward Murphy. Now I know who my favorite black actor was named after). He was an engineer and conducted experiments related to determining the maximum overload level of pilots. Evaluating the work of technicians in one of the laboratories, he argued that if you can do something wrong, then these technicians will do just that. And what do you think? As soon as he gave this phrase, the wound up aircraft engine began to rotate the propeller in the wrong direction. As it turned out, the technicians installed the parts backwards. So this case was remembered and the name of the law of meanness was assigned to this person.

If something can go wrong, it goes wrong. - this is if in a simple way.

But soon a more scientific definition of this phenomenon was formulated:
If n tests are carried out, the result of each of which is estimated by the logical function z, and a negative (unsuccessful) result is undesirable, then for a sufficiently large n, we will definitely get an unsuccessful result for at least one test A.
Here the word test can be replaced with "actions", or in general, paraphrase everything under "events". Now the law is applicable in all areas of life.

On the facts
And now dry logic. With the naked eye, it is clear that everything is based on a simple theory of probability, and therefore on mathematics. Roughly speaking, there is always the possibility of a negative outcome. It is a fact. There is only a certain set of factors that make a negative outcome more or less likely. If everything is so obvious and absolutely all negative events were only probable outcomes, why then did people cling to this Murphy's law so? Emotions. We are all human and by the nature of our fear and instinct for self-preservation, we refuse to believe in a negative outcome. This is just how our brain works. The most common example is death. We perfectly understand that we will die someday. The negative outcome seems to be kept in our heads. Somewhere out there, far away. Do we believe in him? Of course not. We will believe only when everything happens, but then there will be no one to believe. It all depends on our perception, type of thinking. There are people who take failure very personally. It is for such people that the law of meanness exists. It is easier to shift the responsibility onto unknown forces than to admit your flaw.

Outcome
For adequate people with critical thinking, the law of meanness does not exist. There are only events with certain probabilities and factors that are associated with them. For everyone else, please, Murphy's law, esotericism and aliens. A negative outcome is always possible. Therefore, you need to work on yourself, take into account the risks and reduce the likelihood of negative factors, where possible. Either it is better not to get involved in controversial topics, or those in which you do not understand. Uh .. the topic is quite voluminous. The most interesting is yet to come. Today there was a general excursion and a few thoughts. Unsubscribe in the comments if you liked it and then I will release a sequel!
