electronics wise i use a standard pinhole, at mega 2560 MC, an SD card and some misc. components to build the hardware for the cam kit.

the hardware is too large and wont fit in a 2 in 1. only an individual cam bezel. any tips on some schematics for smaller cam driver hardware to save as audio?

I think you have something wrong in the whole picture.
1. What do you call standard pinhole ?
2. Atmega 2560 is 8bit with max speed 16MHz and is not sufficient for video decoding. You can't possibly be using that MCU for saving video to SD card.
3. Very very few people are actually capable of building their own camera. None of those people would ask if you can save the video as audio !!!

Conclusion: I think you don't know what you are doing. Just use some standard PEN/GUM/LIGHTER camera. It has all the stuff you need ready to use and you possibly CAN NOT make it any smaller!
