How can cosmos help you bypass Internet blockages?

In recent years, governments of various countries have increased censorship on the Internet, trying to restrict citizens ' access to the open Internet. However, the more blockages there are, the more sophisticated the methods of bypassing blockages appear on the part of citizens. There is an opinion that the state can completely disable access to the open Internet.

A team of cybersecurity researchers has proposed a new method to combat this problem: a satellite "Trojan horse" - a satellite TV channel that transmits news and information without censorship. The program, called eQsat, has already been tested and is ready to run when the Internet is disconnected in any of the countries.

eQualitie, the company behind eQsat, has developed the Ceno mobile browser, which allows users to connect to the Internet and receive content via a P2P connection. However, this method has its weaknesses, especially when the Internet is completely disconnected.

The eQsat solution is based on steganography, a method of hidden information transmission. The eQualitie team rented space on commercial satellites and began broadcasting its TV channel in Asia and Africa. The channel displays static or colored bars, but in fact, when recording the channel to a USB drive, one of the audio tracks displays a compressed file with information.

This method is safe, since blocking satellite signals is difficult and often does not bring results. However, as the eQualitie representative admits, governments may eventually find a way to counter the new tactics.
