Usually, in the case of recruiting people by a sect, they hide the real information or simply twist it. But, this deception is only "flowers", in comparison with psychological programming, which ordinary sectarians succumb to. For this, mind control is applied.

Group leaders look for people who are weak and insecure, who appear sad and upset most of the time. First, the newcomer falls under group pressure, the so-called "bombardment" of love. He is told that God loves him, that he has been chosen for some kind of high mission, that the world has plunged into sins, and only in their "family" people know how to love each other. As a result, a person's doubts disappear, and there is a need to enter this "family". Various rituals are used, group singing, hugs and flattery ... And the best lie, as you know, is a lie mixed with truth. A person first hears crumbs of truth and then loses vigilance ...

Sects have three characteristics:
1. A special ritual (worship of God or man);
2. Sects tend to isolate themselves from the surrounding society (it is easier to do psychological treatment of sect members this way);
3. Having a charismatic leader.

In other words, they can be called a destructive cult or a cult neoplasm. It is an organization that proclaims a religious purpose, but separates itself in some way from traditional religious denominations. It addresses the spiritual needs of any normal person: the search for the meaning of life, belief in the immortality of the soul, deliverance of humanity from suffering and simply self-improvement. This "sign" also attracts newcomers.

In reality, most sects pursue purely mercantile interests: enrichment of the elite through the financial and physical exploitation of ordinary members of the sect, seizure of power.

For this, a hierarchy is built with iron discipline, indisputable obedience to the "teacher", with the principle of performing the main tasks secretly (only a narrow circle of confidants knows the truth, and an ordinary sectarian is gradually initiated into the plans of the "teacher" - as he moves up the official "steps"). This system is very similar to the model of a totalitarian state, the same indoctrination of the "lower classes".

Who, then, falls under the influence of sects? These are, as a rule, "golden" youth, whose parents are busy making money and devote little time to raising children. People who have suffered grief or great loss, resulting in a psychological vacuum.

Children (people) from the streets are the least influenced by them, because they evaluate life more realistically, sometimes they themselves go for deception and tricks, and they cannot be "pushed through" with flattery and sweet promises.

As a rule, once in a sect, people cut off ties with relatives and friends, sell houses, apartments, other values in favor of the sect, enter into such a state that there is nowhere to return and there is no one to whom. In other words, they completely lose control of their lives.

Sect leaders try to occupy all their free time with various activities, isolating them from society. Sectarians are prohibited from communicating with people who managed to leave the sect, denunciations and surveillance are encouraged, and if a person wants to leave, additional processing is carried out.
Leaving the sect is very difficult, as they say: the entrance is a ruble, and the exit is two.
