What do you think the selling price could be for a confirmed working ALPS MD-1300 Printer?

For those of you know dont know, this is one of the BEST printers you could find for interference images... Out of production and considered extremely rare in good working condition.

When talking about Alps MD printers,,working condition doesn't mean much.I'm not trying to upset you either. Alps makes awsome printers and if cared for they will perform well for along time. But, the main issue with these older printers is banding. Print and entire test page and if you have no banding you should be able to get 800-1200.00 for it. If you need drivers send me a pm.

Thanks for the advice. There is no banding with this printer. Its been well taken care of. And not *Abused* at all. So there should be lots of life left in the printer. I remember how hard it was to find a working printer quite a while ago, so I can only imagine it being even harder to come across now.

I still use my Alps MD1000 w/ the Clear Carts. Havnt bought or looked for clear carts in awhile, do they still sell them, finnally starting to run low. Only that looks better than my stamps is a god alps printing. I have 3 Alps, same type actually. 1 Works perfect...The other has a little banding, but none when i print in the CLEAR cart aka doesnt efect my holo-printing, and the 3rd one was working, but i droped it when i was moving, and so now i save it for parts....If its worth that much, i might as well have an extra one for parts lying around.

Where would one go to get an alps "serviced". Everybody took advantage of that trade-in+money alps did right before they banashed their printers away :(.

Is there anything now-adays that prints clear like alps? The stamps and the alps have been doing it for me latley, i just wish i didnt have to cut the id out, before doing the die cutter. we have 8 up template, somebody show me the 8=up die cuttter!!!

You only need standard die cutter for 8up. Just print and laminate as regular. Then cut 2 vertical rows to die cut regularly.

As for alps servicing, good luck with that. Alps have been brought to repair shops and the employees look at the printer like its from the future, or far into the past. Either way theyre typically baffled. Its best to get the repair manual guides which can be found on google. Its saved some of the Alps from being junk!

PM me if you need a place to get more clear ribbons

Watch ebay religously for carts and printers. I was able to get 6 clear carts and 15 other colors including metallics all still in boxes for 90.00 last year. And the ebay trade in progam for alps printers is pretty good too. Just watch for auctions where an alps is being sold. Win the auction and when it arrives,,open case against seller for damaged printer. Then ebay allways sides with buyer and tells you to send it back for refund. Pack up your old printer and send it back to seller and enjoy your new alps.

MD5000 does not seal as well as 1000 and 1300 from what I have heard.
