Researchers can receive up to 500,000 rubles for detecting bugs.

Positive Technologies has launched a program to find vulnerabilities in its cloud product, the PT Cloud Application Firewall, a web application layer firewall. The program is hosted on the Standoff 365 Bug Bounty platform and will run from December 20, 2023 to January 20, 2024. Researchers will be able to receive a reward of up to 500,000 rubles for detected vulnerabilities.

According to Alexey Astakhov, Head of application security at Positive Technologies, exploiting vulnerabilities remains the most successful method of cyber attacks. Vulnerability detection programs can significantly complicate the implementation of such attacks. In this regard, the company decided to bring its first commercial cloud product to the Standoff 365 Bug Bounty platform for an independent assessment of its security.

More than 8,000 registered researchers will be able to participate in the bug bounty program. They will look for vulnerabilities in domain resources ptcloud.ru using the "black box" method.

The results of the program will be announced on January 29, 2024 on the Positive Technologies website.
