Rui Pintu was given a four-year suspended prison sentence on Monday after being found guilty of the nine crimes he was charged with. Anibal Pinto was also sentenced to two years of probation.

At the sentencing, which took place at the Justice Campus in Lisbon, it was proved that Rui Pinto even tried to extort a large sum of money from the Doyen investment group. Anibal Pinto was also found guilty of this crime by the court.

The creator of Football Leaks was also found guilty of committing five crimes of illegal access. We are talking about the platforms of FC Sporting, the Portuguese Football Federation, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Portuguese Republic and the PLMJ law firm, in addition to Doyen. The hacker was also convicted of three crimes of violating the secrecy of correspondence.

On the other hand, the Portuguese hacker was acquitted of committing information sabotage for lack of evidence and granted amnesty for only 79 crimes in the framework of World Youth Day.

Already on the way out, Rui Pinto's lawyer Francisco Terceira da Mota considered the court's decision fair and that it was good that the court did not sentence the founder of Football Leaks to a real prison term.
