By default, this method of donations is also turned off, but you can turn it on in the settings of the donation page.
We turn on accepting donations through PayPal
To enable alternative donation methods, you need to go to the donation page settings - in the
Widgets section, click on the Donate
page card.
Important: you can activate additional donation methods only after passing the identification procedure (this is a requirement legislation).
In the settings, we find the
Additional donation methods block. In this block, turn on the switch next to the PayPal item. Then follow the instructions to accept payments directly to your PayPal account, as if the user were transferring funds to you personally.
To check that everything is connected correctly, you need to go to your donation page. In the second step, PayPal should appear as an additional payment method, as in the screenshot below.
Features of accepting donations through PayPal
- The peculiarity of donations through PayPal is that they go directly to your wallet in this system, bypassing the balance in Donatty. Therefore, we do not charge a commission for this method of donations;
- PayPal has stopped serving transfers within Russia, through this payment system you can only accept donations from other countries;
- Donates from PayPal will not appear on your Donatty balance, but they will be visible in the transaction list;
- Since these donations bypass Donatty's balance, they are not displayed in statistics widgets and fundraising widgets because the source of information for these widgets is Donatty).
