Concept

Sometimes we become overly identified with some aspect of our experience - for example, with our beliefs, with our body, gender, race or religion, social role, profession, etc.

This over-identification can lead to the fact that we begin to mentally perceive our own "I" as dependent on any of our qualities or transgressions. As a result, we may be tempted to construct an image of ourselves as a victim, as a person dependent on other people and external circumstances, and we begin to react painfully to everything that threatens such coding.

Assagioli developed a procedure for revealing his higher self with the help of special de-identification exercises, which begin with the realization of the following position: “I have a body, but I am not my body”.

Whenever we identify with physical sensations, we become slaves to our own body ... I experience emotions, but I am not my emotions or feelings. I have intelligence, and yet I am not my intelligence. I am I, the center of pure consciousness.

Assagioli uses the linguistic-semantic field "I have, but I am not ...", applying this form of de-identification to other human abilities and manifestations. For example: “I am endowed with will, but I am not this will” - and so on. Then, using patterns of hypnotic language, he composes a detailed formula for gaining access to a state relative to a state (meta-state):

I take a comfortable and relaxed position and close my eyes. I repeat to myself, "I have a body, but I am not my body."

My body can be healthy or sick; rested or tired, but it has nothing to do with my being, with my real self. My body is a precious instrument that gives me the ability to feel and act in the outside world, but it is nothing more than an instrument. I feel emotions, but I am not my emotions. My innumerable moods are contradictory and changeable - from irritation to peace. Since I can observe, understand and evaluate my emotions in order to better manage and use them, it is quite obvious that they are not identical with my self. I feel emotions, but I am not my emotions.

I feel desires, but I am not my desires, excited by my physical and emotional drives or external influences. Desires are also changeable and contradictory, and sympathy can be replaced by dislike. I have desires, but I am not my desires.

I have intelligence, but I am not my intelligence. The intellect can be more or less developed and more or less active; undisciplined but trainable; it is an organ of cognition of the external and internal world, but this is not me. I have intelligence, but I am not my intelligence.

Without identifying my own “I” with the content of my consciousness (sensations, emotions, desires and thoughts), I recognize and affirm that I am the center of pure self-knowledge. I am a center of will, capable of harnessing, directing and using any of my psychological processes and my physical body.

Then what am I? What remains if we give up identification with the physical, emotional and mental content of my personality, my ego? This is my essence - the center of pure self-awareness and self-realization. This is what remains unchanged in the ever-changing flow of my individual life. This is what gives me a sense of being, constancy and inner stability. I acknowledge and affirm that I am the center of pure self-awareness. At the same time, I understand that this center represents not only static self-awareness, but also a dynamic force; he is able to observe, subdue, direct and use any psychological processes and the physical body. I am the center of consciousness and power.

Overidentification with transient aspects of self or with an external situation makes us “obsessed” with identification. In this case, we become our own roles, masks, emotions, etc. And this, in turn, "makes us frozen and petrified ... prisoners."

These exercises are especially indicated for overly emotional patients, as well as for those who are overly identified with any affective state, with a certain form of behavior, with certain plans, sometimes global, sometimes petty. All this plunges a person into a state of obsession. These are fanatics of all stripes.

Some patients, especially Americans, stubbornly resist not identifying with their own body, feelings and thoughts, and have a panic fear that as a result of this practice, they might be torn apart. But many, on the contrary, are impressed by the idea of experiencing a sense of a center within themselves - a center in which they can gain strength and wisdom to help them withstand the stresses of modern life.

Pattern

Start by giving yourself some moral support. Do you accept the idea that you are something more, rather than your abilities, manifestations of your personality or external circumstances?

Do you know that you are more than you think and feel? Are you ready to play with this statement?

Give up identification at the linguistic level.

Using the linguistic formula “I have, but I am not”, frame any, and maybe even all of your abilities, functions and life circumstances as “not me”. How do you feel about it?

Which words are the best to help you step back from the state of identification?

Give up identification in a trance state.

Feeling a relaxed and comfortable state, enter transcendental state in relation to your psychological and physiological forces and realize that even if you lose any of them, then your deep self will remain unconditionally significant and valuable.

The NLP model "Three-position description" (as well as: "three positions of perception", "positional transitions", "three-position perception", even if you call it an ass), this model is used to collect information and assess communicative situations. The model is borrowed from Virginia Satyr , although everyone thinks this is NLP, yes it is, but Satyr gave a start.

Now about the positions:
1st position: "I-myself", association in oneself. I assess the situation from my point of view.
2nd position: "I am other", association in the other. "I get into the place" of another person, "I look with his eyes."
3rd position: "Observer", dissociation. I assess the situation as an observer qualified in this context (Or just an outside observer)
4th position: "System", a stationed position impoverishing different systems in itself. That is, an assessment from the outside: Family, Job, Firm or city where you live. The topic of the 4th position requires a separate discussion.

1st position of perception
The first position of perception assumes that a person evaluates the situation from his point of view, based on his own interests and values. Despite the seeming simplicity, this is not always easy to do - all three positions of perception in consciousness can be "linked" and it can be difficult for a person to separate his interests from the interests of another person. Or from the assessment of the situation from the outside. There is also usually a preferred way of assessing the situation.
In the first position of perception, a person says about himself in the first person: "It is important for me to pass this exam." Non-verbal is characteristic of association - pronounced emotional reactions, great mobility and muscle tone, etc. In order to determine who and what type of people are stuck in the first position, remember those people about whom they say: “He thinks only of himself,” egotists, etc. Such people are usually the first to be saved.
In order to enter the first position if you are not in it, it is enough to listen to the breath, sensations in the body, pay attention to the internal dialogue, ask yourself: What am I thinking about?

2nd position of perception
The second position of perception presupposes "association in another" - in this case, in another participant in communication. It is clear that if there are several other participants, there can also be several second positions. For example, when assessing a conflict, the determination of your views is made from the first position, and the assessment of the same situation from the point of view of the opponent - from the corresponding second position, with the association, respectively, into the opponent. How to identify people in the second position, these people are very benevolent or, on the contrary, negative, they either think how to do you better to serve or to make you better. Also, they are often asked to enter the second position: stand in his place;
look with his eyes; feel how he is; look at it from his point of view; look from its bell tower; walk in other people's shoes. In this case, the second position is understood precisely as the state of "association in the other", and not the result of a logical analysis of this very other. That is, the second position is a way to use the capabilities of the unconscious to model the map of another person. In order to extract this information (or rather, create, it is actually not there, unconsciously simply creates it as needed), you need to determine what you actually need.

Technique for entering the second position:
1. Ability to visualize
2. Imagine how your spirit or your perception leaves the body and merges with the body of your opponent.
3. Then you imagine as if you see everything through the eyes of your opponent, imagine so that he can feel what he might be thinking.
4. All second position.

3rd position of perception​

The third position of perception presupposes dissociation from the situation. In this case, it is assumed that the person is an expert in what is happening, and can give a balanced assessment and recommendations to the participants. The third position presupposes a lack of emotional involvement and an orientation toward analyzing the situation. That is, in the third position, a person does not defend someone's point of view, but analyzes the process, relationships and can give recommendations to participants on how to achieve their goals. If the goal is defined. Accordingly, the person in the third position needs to set a framework for the assessment - for example, if this is a solution to a difficult situation, for example, if it is the sale of surfactants, then reach an understanding in terms of prices, volume.
Nonverbalica is characteristic of dissociation: a detached "frozen" posture, low muscle tone, weak emotional reactions. Often the transition to a digital modality with the appropriate non-verbal.

Technique in 3rd position:

Selecting a key phrase
This is not difficult. Just pick the word or phrase you want to use. It is better if it is a word or phrase that does not carry a strong emotional charge (in this sense, the word "money" is not suitable for this role).

You can change your keyword whenever you want. You will instruct your subconscious mind to use whatever keyword you want.
If you use this word outside of a therapy session, your subconscious mind will not think that this is a signal to start treatment. In other words, you must have the intention to cure something so that the subconscious mind perceives the word as a command for action.
Come up with your word (phrase), and write it down.

Understanding the instruction by your unconscious
You will read the instructions below aloud or silently just once. From now on, your subconscious mind will always agree to heal whatever you tell it. You will never have to give him this instruction again, although you may want to supplement the instruction with new information. The instruction will always work, until you tell the subconscious mind to stop doing it. Everything that you read next is needed to help your subconscious mind understand what you mean by "problem" and what you want from your subconscious when you ask it for help.
The instructions for your subconscious mind include the concept of the Completeness and Wholeness of your personality - everything that defines you as a person. Please note that when you use the words "I", "me", etc., when treating a problem, your subconscious mind will understand that it needs to include in the treatment process absolutely all parts of you and all past experiences that relate to problem.
When you read the instruction for the subconscious mind, do not worry about whether you understand it consciously, and whether you understand what we were talking about here. Your subconscious mind will understand what it is about. A more meaningful understanding will come with time as you practice BSFF and re-read (for conscious understanding) the instructions in the future.

These instructions are for you, OUR subconscious. ENTHUSIASM danced with Euphoria, JOY jumped so much that it convinced Doubt, but APATIA, who had never been interested in anything, refused to participate in the game. TRUTH chose not to hide, because in the end it is always found. PRIDE said it was a completely stupid game (she didn't care about anything except herself). And cowardice really did not want to risk it.
- One, two, three ... - the beginning of the account MADNESS. The first to hide was LAZY, she hid behind the nearest stone on the road, VERA ascended to heaven, and ENVY hid in the shadow of TRIUMPH, who, on his own, managed to climb the top of the tallest tree. NOBILITY for a very long time could not hide, as every place that it found seemed ideal for his friends: a crystal clear lake - for BEAUTY. Cleft in the tree - so, this is for FEAR. Butterfly wing is for PONDER. A breath of breeze - after all, this is for FREEDOM! And it disguised itself in a ray of the sun. EGOISM, on the contrary, found only a warm and cozy place for itself. A LIE hid in the depths of the ocean (in fact, it took refuge in a rainbow), and PASSION and DESIRE lurked in the crater of the volcano. FORGETTING, I don't even remember where she hid, and it doesn't matter. When MADNESS counted to 999999, LOVE was still looking for a place to hide, but everything was already taken. But suddenly she saw a wonderful rose bush and decided to hide among its flowers.
- Million, - MADNESS counted and began to search. The first, of course, it found LAZY. Then it heard VERA arguing with God, and it learned about PASSION and DESIRE by the way the volcano trembled. Then MADNESS saw ENVY and guessed where TRIUMPH was hiding.
There was no need to look for selfishness, because the place where he was hiding turned out to be a hive of bees who decided to drive out the intruder. In search of MADNESS went to get drunk to the stream and saw BEAUTY. Doubt sat by the fence, deciding which side to hide from. So, all were found: TALENT - in fresh and juicy grass, SADNESS - in a dark cave, FALSE - in a rainbow (to be honest, it was hiding at the bottom of the ocean). But they couldn't find LOVE ...
MADNESS searched behind every tree, in every stream, on the top of every mountain, and finally, it decided to look in the rose bushes, and when it parted the branches, it heard a scream. Sharp thorns of roses hurt LOVE eyes. MADNESS did not know what to do, began to apologize, cried, prayed, asked for forgiveness and, in atonement for his guilt, promised LOVE to become her guide. And since then, when they played hide and seek for the first time on earth, LOVE is blind and MADNESS leads her by the hand ...

Climbing​

Everyone told him that this peak was dangerous. Everyone told him that this mountain is the highest in the world. Everyone told him that no one had been up there yet. But one morning he collected everything he needed and set off on the road.
The climb was incredibly difficult. Many times he balanced on a thin blade between life and death. The body seemed to have become a stranger and sometimes reluctantly reacted to the commands of the brain. But he continued climbing, gritting his teeth and whispering words that no one heard.
The last meters seemed like hell. And now the brain refused to understand where it was, and often painted strange surreal pictures. And then the body took on a seemingly overwhelming task and continued to climb up.
Having reached the top in the pitch darkness, he filled the entire surrounding space with the beastly cry of the winner and forgot himself in a short restless sleep.
However, the dawn gave him new impressions: at a distance of several kilometers from the conquered peak, the path began to the mountain, which was twice as high as the conquered one.
