At stake are the diagnoses of politicians and Haredi elites.

The Ranger Locker group has threatened to publish confidential data stolen from the Mayanei ha-Yeshua hospital in Bnei Brak. Malefactors demand to pay a large sum, otherwise secret information about famous patients will be posted online.

Mayanei a-Yeshua stated: the leak occurred during a cyberattack in early August. Experts are still studying the "consequences". The statement said the attack was "financially motivated" and the hospital is not negotiating with the hackers.

Among the hundreds of thousands of stolen files, according to the criminals, there are documents relating to the treatment of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Knesset deputies, rabbis and other prominent representatives of the Haredi community. Particularly sensitive information is about patients in the psychiatric ward.

The hackers announced their demands on Wednesday. The exact amount of the ransom was not disclosed, but it is known that we are talking about tens of millions of shekels.

Ranger Locker does not advertise its relations with any organizations or states.
