Now your grandmother can choose a match for you on Tinder.
Popular dating app Tinder has introduced a new feature-Tinder Matchmaker. Taking into account the statistics that more than 75% of the surveyed singles discuss their personal life with friends several times a month (a Tinder survey of 2,500 young people aged 18-25), the company provided an opportunity for friends and parents of a user to recommend Tinder profiles for him, even without having their own account in the app.
The essence of the function is to turn modern dating into a team sport. Users can invite others to watch and suggest potential matches. This option lets you know which candidate your friends approve of, but just like in real life, the user has the final say.
Example of how the Tinder Matchmaker function works
To help users and their cupids understand the new dynamic of online dating, Tinder has teamed up with hip-hop artist Coi Leray. She will become the face of the campaign, demonstrating how important the new feature is.
"Giving your phone to your friends is a test of sincerity. Of course, you want your chosen one to be admired by your friends. Tinder Matchmaker is a great way to get your friends 'approval even before you like each other in the app," says Coi Leray.
How Tinder Matchmaker Works:
Tinder Matchmaker is currently available in the US, Australia, Brazil and other countries, and will expand globally in the coming months.
