Employees of the economic security and anti-corruption units of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow detained four suspects in fraud in the provision of legal services.

It was preliminarily established that the attackers found unlucky investors, participants in financial pyramids. Then they offered them legal services and convinced them that they would help them get compensation for the lost money. And retired clients were imposed services for recalculating the amount of pensions and other payments.

In addition, scammers created websites on the Internet that were disguised as pages of migration centers. With their help, foreigners were offered assistance in obtaining citizenship and processing documents confirming the legality of their stay in the territory of the Russian Federation. After the clients made an advance payment, the defendants created the appearance of work, but did not provide real services. According to preliminary data, about 40 citizens suffered from illegal activities, the damage exceeded 10 million rubles.

"As a result of operational-search measures, the police detained suspects in the Moscow region. During searches at places of residence, bank cards, computer equipment, communication equipment and other items of evidentiary value were found and seized.

An investigator of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow initiated criminal cases on the grounds of crimes under parts 2 and 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which are currently combined into one proceeding. The alleged organizer was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention, three of his accomplices - in the form of a recognizance not to leave and proper behavior.

Currently, police officers are taking measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances of illegal activities", said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
