The company is ready to join the battle with those who violate the rules of the game.

The company that develops the popular game Genshin Impact, miHoYo, responded to the recent massive hacks, which caused concern among players. The developers promised to find and legally prosecute those who are behind the so-called Kaveh hacks.

Recall that in recent weeks, users of the game have been actively complaining about the actions of intruders who, during a joint game, used a malicious exploit under the secret name "Kaveh" to permanently remove important in-game elements from the world of victims. These elements are critical for completing side quests and exploring the world. Their absence leads to the inability of players to continue developing their account, which is why any interest in the game is lost, and the player profile itself risks remaining "broken" forever.

A little later, representatives of HoYoverse commented on the situation on their official Twitter account *. The developers confirmed the problem and even managed to fix it, "fixing" all the accounts of the affected players

In addition, it was announced that miHoYo plans to sue the individuals who created, used, or distributed tools to exploit the Kaveh-related bug. The company accuses these people of violating the terms of use of the game (Terms of service) and the law.

The fact is that in-game hacks and cheats are really a violation of the terms of use, and if they include modification of proprietary game code and resources, this can also be considered a copyright violation. Additionally, in some jurisdictions, hacking game servers and exploiting vulnerabilities may be considered illegal under local computer fraud and abuse laws.

"The use of plugins to remove items from the open world of other Travelers (by modifying game data) has seriously affected their gameplay. To ensure fair play and protect the rights of Travelers, we have blocked accounts that use such plugins and will take legal action against their developers, users, and distributors.

We confirm that currently developers and users of the plugin [for exploiting the bug] are posting content in the community and on video sites, disguising themselves as victims in order to further confuse the public and incite panic," representatives of miHoYo said.
