To determine the real level of free employment in world and the expectations of citizens regarding the appearance of this phenomenon on the labor market, a qualitative methodology for sociological research of carding was developed.
The characteristic of certain types of sociological research, the possibilities and limitations of their application in the sociological research of carding as a social phenomenon is given. Also, the features of the organizational procedures of the sociological research of carding, their content and sequence of carrying out were disclosed.
A technique and procedure for the application of qualitative and quantitative methods of sociological research used in conducting a specific research and in substantiating the validity of the results in a sociological research of carding have been developed and described.
Considering the concept of "attitude to carding", we have identified three qualities that form it:
1) personal orientation;
2) professional orientation;
3) general social orientation.
"Personal orientation" - a set of motives of activity and behavior, which expresses the nature of the attitude of a carder towards himself, other people, society, the level of his self-awareness and social responsibility is manifested.
When considering the "professional orientation" of a carder, the main emphasis in this work was made on the level and structure of his professional aspirations and the assessment of the professional qualities of carders by employers and society as a whole.
The "general social orientation" refers to the totality social characteristics inherent in a carder. It includes: an assessment of the importance of free employment for a carder and an assessment of the importance of free employment for society.
On the basis of these qualities, the dissertation highlights the main objective and subjective factors that influence the motives of workers to switch to carder. The factors were grouped into three blocks, which in one way or another influence the formation of the behavioral attitudes of free workers to work: personal, professional and general social.
According to the methodology developed by the author, a study was carried out of the state and patterns of functioning and development of carding, which included a public opinion poll of the working-age population, online interviews with carders and a secondary analysis of the studies already carried out. In contrast to previous studies of free employment, the author's study focused not on quantitative indicators (the number of free workers depending on gender, age, employment), but on qualitative ones (reasons prompting the transition to carding, factors influencing to the carder market).
