According to the investigation, the suspects came to the victim's apartment and demanded to transfer all his digital assets to their account.
The businessman tried to run away, but the attackers caught up with him, beat him and broke his leg. After that, the man still sent about $28,000 worth of cryptocurrency to their wallets.
In addition, the attackers took out documents and valuables from the apartment.
During searches conducted in Kiev and Cherkasy, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones, bank cards and money. Also, one of the suspects was found to have about 300 rounds of ammunition for automatic weapons.
