iPod WIFI / GPS - Dangerous?

hopefully everyone here knows to not carry a live mobile phone with them during their work.

my question is - what about an iPod touch with internet and gps location services? can that be used by LE to see who is at location(s) of interest?

what is the wifi and location services are turned off?

looking for expert answers here, not guesses.

and iPod touch is not connected to a person as far as I know. Using those services you'll present yourself as an iPod user, not John the Plumber from Washington for example.
I don't see any problems/ways for authority's to track you down while using WIFI/GPS on an iPod touch (unless you card with that thing )

I don't think it's possible to see GPS devices location history (that'd be a shitload on data!)

i know about the 3gs iphones that police can trace them easy with the gps shit. They have done it many times when iphone reported for stolen.

-please be aware that carders are caught NOT by ownership, per se, of a phone.

what LE can do is look at location / times of carding at pos. they can then look at records of phones at those locations at those times.

now they are looking for a PHONE, not a person. they don't care WHO you are, but they know WHERE you are.

Wifi is not dangerous! Anyway I don't know iPod, but I know that on iPhones you can set up VPN (Virtual Private Network)! GPS? I don't know...

The problem with all these phones is the amount of Tracking available so its only when LE know your Details that using those phones is a issue...to be safe one should maybe use a old old phone that has no gps ,when they work and leave the phones devices that are track able at home. I know its some thing that has caught my attention these days.

wrong. all they have to know is that the phone was at ten retail locations that were carded at the time they were carded. then they can follow you, nab you, THEN find out your details (name).

that won't do you any good when they pull camera shots of you and your phone carding. again people, they can see what phones were at locations that were carded at the time they were carded. if the same phone is at even 2 carded locations at the time they were carded, they've found a carder. then they just follow you and nab you.

I would be more concerned that they know your phone and the shit around them being able to access them remotely on or off. That shit is not good!
