A programmer who wanted to illegally flee to Moldova was tried in the Vinnytsia region. We tell the details of the story.
On June 27, the Peschansky district Court of the Vinnytsia region considered the case of a programmer of the IT company Casafari, who attempted to illegally cross the state border.
According to the case file, on May 16, 2024, at 2:10 in the direction of Grabarovka (Ukraine) - Oknitsa (Republic of Moldova) in the area of the intermediate border sign No. 0229 at a distance of 300 m from the state border line, the programmer, as part of a group of persons, intended to attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine on foot outside the established checkpoints. Violators were detained by a border patrol.
The violator admitted his guilt, in particular, indicating that he intended to cross the border outside the checkpoint to continue his studies in Slovakia.
The court found the programmer guilty of committing an administrative offense and imposed a fine of UAH 8,500 on him, and the programmer must also pay a court fee of UAH 605.6.
