Employees of the Department for combating the illegal use of information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Smolensk region conducted a complex of operational search measures, as a result of which the identity of a suspect in illegal access to computer information was established.
A 24-year-old resident of the Smolensky district, being a sales consultant, had access to the software of a chain store selling equipment. Using his official position, the suspect unlawfully entered data of non-existent persons when registering SIM cards.
During the conversation, the citizen explained to the investigators that he had committed illegal actions in order to receive a bonus for increasing the quantitative indicators of issued SIM cards.
