The investigator of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moskovsky district of Ryazan completed the investigation of a criminal case initiated on 4 episodes of a crime under Part 3 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal access to computer information, committed out of self-interest, by a person using his official position).
During the preliminary investigation, an investigator of the internal affairs bodies established that a resident of Ryazan, born in 2002, while working for a mobile phone company, illegally accessed legally protected information and modified computer information in an automatic billing system. The person involved in the criminal case issued SIM cards using the passport data of citizens who had previously applied to the mobile communications office on various issues without the latter's permission and consent. SIM cards were issued by entering their personal data into a specialized program.
The investigation is now complete. The materials of the criminal case with the approved indictment were sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
