Officers of the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Khakassia, together with colleagues from the regional FSB, found that a resident of the city of Sorsk, born in 1984, working in a mobile communications company, illegally accessed legally protected information.
According to preliminary data, in order to receive a bonus for work by increasing sales of SIM cards, the defendant in the criminal case, having the passport data of two residents of Khakassia, who had previously applied to one of the mobile offices, issued six SIM cards without their permission and presence.
Despite the fact that no one used these SIM cards and they were subsequently destroyed, the facts of entering inaccurate information into the system were established.
A similar case was identified in the Ust-Abakan district. An employee of a mobile company born in 2000 issued three SIM cards for a resident of the region.
Investigative units of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Sorsk and the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Ust-Abakan District initiated criminal cases against citizens on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum sanction of the article entails punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years. An investigation is underway.
