As a result of a set of operational measures, officers of the department for solving crimes committed using information and telecommunication technologies, the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Khabarovsk went to the capital of the Primorsky Territory and detained the 38-year-old accused. Operatives found that among the victims are residents of the Khabarovsk, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk territories, Novosibirsk, Amur regions and a number of other regions.
The investigative unit of the Investigative Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Khabarovsk proved the involvement of the accused in 27 illegal acts with damage of more than 350 thousand rubles. In the process of investigating the criminal case, the defendant compensated four victims for the damage caused.
The criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud" has been completed. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years.
Until the announcement of the verdict, the accused will be under recognizance not to leave and proper behavior.
