This is the best stress reliever. Thanks to it, you will forever forget about anxiety disorder and self-doubt. You just need to accept this philosophy ...
Introduction
Eh, for a month now I want to write to you about stoicism and my hands have not reached it. This topic is definitely worth attention and everyone, without exception, must fumble for this philosophy. Even 5 years ago, I was thinking about what my worldview is. After all, I have always been a very even type without cockroaches in my head. Do not think, I am not proud and generally quite self-critical. Nevertheless, when I noticed that I did not suffer from the problems of most people (such as anxiety, self-doubt and loss of profit syndrome, and also constantly get high from life and do not suffer about every little thing), I realized that there is something in me ... And it's not for nothing that people are drawn to me. As it turned out, it's all because I'm stoic. And what is it, now we will analyze it!
History
Stoicism is an ancient philosophy that originated in ancient Greece around 300 BC. Zeno of Kitis is considered to be his father. He was a Phoenician merchant and one day his ship was wrecked in a violent storm. Zeno survived, but lost all property. And instead of falling into despair and blaming higher powers for his grief, he rethought his life and became a philosopher. He gained wisdom from many sages of that time, and later founded his school of Stoicism, which was named after one of the most famous ancient buildings in Athens - the painted wall where the Stoicists held their open classes.
What's the point?
At the center of the concept of stoicism is the conviction that the meaning of life, no matter how trite it is, is in happiness. But in order to find happiness, a person needs to perfectly understand the structure of the world around him, the psychology of a person, as well as his true purpose in life. In turn, in order to achieve that very understanding, you need to study three key sciences - physics, ethics and logic. (essentially the same as what these words mean in our time). And you also need to pump 4 key skills - practical wisdom (experience), courage (to accept the situation as it is), moderation and justice. And the most important thing is personal development with the help of the following disciplines:
So what to do?
With the theory finished, and now to practice. And you should already have a logical question, "how does this stoicism of yours help me with my problems?" It's simple. You just need to develop the correct mindset with two simple exercises. You see, all these anxiety disorders literally come out of thin air. What causes us to feel anxious and insecure about ourselves? Due to the fact that we wind ourselves up, that somewhere we did the wrong thing, but somewhere everything could go differently. Or we are worried about future events - that we are not taking an exam, we are not getting a job, we are not going to like our partner on the first date, that something will certainly go wrong. We will be misunderstood, for no apparent reason, there will be an apocalypse and all that sort of thing. I hope you understand what I mean.
In general, it all comes down to these two things. Be mentally prepared for the worst and accept it, and focus only on what you can influence. Well, plus - tolerance for others, the study of understanding other people, the structure of the world and stuff like that. On the way out - a more conscious and high-quality life.
Outcome
Stoicism is a complex topic. I cut it as best I could and haven't told a bunch of important things yet, so maybe I'll release a video on this topic. Nevertheless, I hope I have slightly stirred your convolutions. Write in the comments if you want to see such a video and see you soon!

And you also need to pump 4 key skills - practical wisdom (experience), courage (to accept the situation as it is), moderation and justice. And the most important thing is personal development with the help of the following disciplines:
- Discipline of desire. At the heart of this discipline is the so-called dichotomy of control, the essence of which is that it is worth focusing only on things that are under our control and not dwelling on what does not depend on us. Knowledge of physics, as well as courage and wisdom, helps us in this.
- Discipline of action. Act in an ethical and fair manner.
- Discipline of Consent. In fact, this is our reaction to the behavior of other people and events happening around. It is important to develop an understanding of human psychology and a competent tolerant attitude towards others.
- So, we take this hypothetical situation in our head and analyze it. We define those things that we can influence and those that we cannot. For example, we have an exam tomorrow. All we can do is prepare as much as we can. But about what kind of ticket we will get, or what will be the mood of the examiner and whether it will be possible to write off better not to think. It is not in our power. And it’s just all this tinsel that is beyond our control and prevents us from focusing on the main thing. So, we need to get rid of it.
- And another exercise. Let's say we have an important event to happen, for example, a difficult conversation with your mother, in which you want to admit that you are dropping out of school in order to become a blogger. The feeling inside is as if you will literally be killed tomorrow. In such situations, the Stoics advise mentally preparing yourself for the worst outcomes. Suppose your mother kicks you out of the house, or leaves you without money. You need to clearly think about what you will do in certain situations. And then it turns out that you are ready for literally any outcome and nothing else scares you. But in reality, as you know, a little rubbish, maybe a couple of weeks of grating, but in the end the mother will accept your desperate choice. We tend to exaggerate potential threats and that is why this exercise is so useful. We need to banally be prepared for these, albeit unlikely, threats.
In general, it all comes down to these two things. Be mentally prepared for the worst and accept it, and focus only on what you can influence. Well, plus - tolerance for others, the study of understanding other people, the structure of the world and stuff like that. On the way out - a more conscious and high-quality life.
