1. Use two-factor authentication with a strong password.

This will allow you to secure your account even if special services or fraudsters gain access to your SIM card in one way or another.

2. Remember the password well and do not install "backup email"

This email is suggested to be set in case you forget your password. But is it okay that Email is generally insecure and rests on the same intercepted SMS?

3. Use Local Passcode

Even if you lose the phone on which the telegram will be entered, or "enemies" (from competitors to employees) take it away from you, they will not be able to view your correspondence without entering a Passcode

4. Keep your login logged in for at least two sessions (especially if the SIM card for which Telegram is registered is left or is no longer working)

If something happens to one of the devices or sessions, then you can re-enter by logging in through another

5. Check the column "active sessions"

If there are any devices that you do not know about and definitely have nothing to do with them, then the matter is a pipe, and operatives or someone else are sitting with you in your chats.

6. Update your computer and phone OS regularly

This will slightly protect even from the special services, not to mention ordinary burglars.

7. Do not answer calls to Telegram from unknown numbers

The purpose of such callers is to find out the number to which your account is registered. And from him a thread can go to you

8. If you want to register an account on the left SIM card - do not turn it on at home, or next to your phone on.

Better yet, use some sort of SMS receiving service. The so-called "left" SIM card, turned on even once next to your phone or at your home, will be the main thread leading to you if someone really needs you. It is better to immediately protect yourself from this.
